John was amazing, professional and very hands on and informative during the entire process. The quality of the plants and services were super and we learned a lot about different trees and plants and how to care for them. He is very experienced and knowledgeable and spent a lot of time explaining everything. We will definitely use New Yard Landscaping again and highly recommend him.

John and his team did a great job! John listened to our ideas and made many helpful suggestions. His many years of experience of landscaping locally was very valuable. He identified that we had a drainage issue (we had never even thought about that! But it is a common problem in East Texas) and took steps to remedy it. He also suggested and made some simple additions to our sprinkler system to meet the water requirements of our new plants — something else we had not thought about. Very pleased we chose John to work with!

John is brilliant at hardscape design and installation. He has a good selection of plants and though he's not inexpensive he does work with you to keep the cost down.

John is the best of the best. If you are like me, you will understand how difficult it is to find a landscape contractor with vision. I needed help understanding what is needed in my backyard and John was there. John allowed us to tour his home to see what we like or dont. The amount of trees and bushes he has to choose from is incredible. I could go on forever about this amazing and honest man. The quality, value, and professionalism is worth every dollar we spent upgrading our yard. I look forward to seeing how beautiful and private our yard is once spring comes. John will forever be our go-to for our landscape needs. Trust me, you wont find anyone better in the area.

John listened to what we wanted - less maintenance, color, and design. John's knowledge of plants was exceptional. From start to finish he made sure we knew what he was proposing. He and his crew were very nice to work with and always on time. They were willing to answer our questions and redo anything we did not like. Our yard is beautiful with neighbors always complimenting. To say that John is passionate about his work would be a massive understatement. With a recent house purchase our back yard was mundane and lacked the privacy we desired. When John came out to our home for the first time, he didnâ t hesitate with his recommendation and really explained why he would go the direction he was advising. John allowed us to tour his nursery and hand select the trees that we wanted to have planted â his property is amazing and completely sold us on hiring John and his team. The day of arrival, they were prompt and worked with us patiently to spot the trees and provided suggestions along the way. From start to finish, we were very pleased. If you are looking for a landscaper, do not hesitate with hiring this company. p.s. â we have already hired him again for two additional trees on the outside of our property and have planned for future â phase 2â work in the next year.

john really knows his plants and landscaping. he has an efficient team and made options possible. he gave me several of these options with me choosing the one most affordable to my budget. there was some confusion about the final charge but we agreed to find a middle road, as john appeared to be a fair and honest man.

John and his crew did an outstanding job. We were refreshing a 20 year old landscape that had been allowed to run wild. John helped us throughout the process, what will grow, what won t, planting spacing, planting location, clean up of the plants and trees we kept. And finished with instructions on fertilizing, spraying, and trimming. John is extremely knowledgeable and enjoyed sharing his knowledge. He even went as far to invite us to his personal property so we could see a mature landscape that had been properly maintained. I believe we have started a lasting relationship.
