"For some reason, I was having the hardest time getting tree removal professionals to contact me back. I needed a very tall Washingtonia Palm removed that was haphazardly leaning over my house, was squeaking in the wind, and I had fears it would crash through my roof into my children's room. Within three weeks, I had contacted about 12 professionals, to only receive 3 quotes- one of $1,000 one for $400, and one of $1400. But I had to repeatedly email them just to get those quotes! I basically had to beg for quotes. Of course I wanted the $400...and once I decided to commit, I never heard from them again! Just by chance I came across HomeAdvisor, and found Garcia Professional Tree Service. I was contacted the very next day. I must have emailed them about 5 times with questions and was contacted back right away each time. Their price was $800 which compared to the other prices (not counting the $400 because they just seemed to drop off the face of the earth and unfortunately that was an established and recommended company), was the best price. They came within two days. Their scheduled time was 7:30-8:30 and they came at about 8:00ish or so. They got right to work and were done within 2-2 1/2 hours. The $800 was for the tree cut down, the stump removal, and then all debris from that hauled away. I would definitely use them again."
