Jake orchestrated the entire project as a well oiled machine, providing constant communication and updates. His sub contractors were equally as effective and prompt. He was onsite on every important date, and kept track of every detail of our project, while also balancing 4-5 other clients. We could not have asked for a better overall experience, and love the finished product.

If I could do 10 starts I would. I can't say enough good things about this company. Jake is a phenomenal contractor and is truly one of a kind. He didn't just do the right thing when he finished our basement, he did it as though it was his own home. In addition to excellent work, he was punctual and kept in great communication with us. He also understood we had a dog in the house and made the accommodations for our dog that we asked. This was the first project we actually enjoyed and we will hire this company for all our projects moving forward. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Jake is fantastic. This was the second project he did for us (the first was a basement remodel). He made the whole process so smooth. Everything was on schedule, on budget, and done exactly as we'd discussed. Jake was always easy to reach, responsive, and reliable. He was respectful of our home and left it very clean. I LOVE the Mycke family as well as their contractors ! I recently had my basement finished and they were super patient with all of my requests and kept me updated on everything. This is a family company that will be honest and always straightforward with you. From the framing to the glass contractors, they were all super nice and felt instantly like family. The team turned my difficult basement into a masterpiece/mother in law suite. All I had to do was pick out what I wanted! Thorough. Detail-oriented. On time (actually a week ahead). On budget. Honest. Easy to reach. Responsive when we needed him. Respectful of our property and our privacy. I would hire Jake again in a heartbeat. We chose Jake because of the strength of his reviews, and I can now confirm every one. When the vendors we met to pick out granite or tile or cabinetry...all said they loved working with Jake, that tells me something. They recognize quality. Our interior designer saw the results, including his invoice and timeline with to-do list and asked for his number as well; she was impressed with how organized the project was. While his was not the cheapest bid, I was much more confident in his estimate than in any of his competitors. The only overages we incurred were because we found some faulty plumbing that needed fixing as well as a couple of upgrades we added. Otherwise, the work was exactly on budget. If you want high quality work and a guy with an old-school ethic who stands by his name and his work, hire him.
