As someone who has been in construction management for over 25 years, I rarely hire contractors—I usually take on projects myself because I can achieve the quality I expect. However, this remodel of my kitchen, dining, and living room was too large for me to tackle on my own, so I decided to hire Murphy Construction—and I’m glad I did. They exceeded every expectation. Murphy Construction are true perfectionists who take the time to ensure every detail is done right. The craftsmanship and attention to detail throughout the project were exceptional. What impressed me most was their pride in their work—they even corrected existing issues that weren’t part of their original scope, without being asked and without hesitation. It’s rare to find a contractor who treats your home and project as if it were their own. Murphy Construction does exactly that. I highly recommend them to anyone who values quality, professionalism, and integrity.

Ok where do I start: Thomas and Justin were phenomenal! They took out my old 30 year old mobile home tub and replaced it with the most amazing walk in shower! It operates and looks beautiful! I cannot thank you enough! They also fixed my walk in shower in the master bathroom (the previous GC did a really sub par job) and I’m so happy that Thomas replaced the sub floor part of that shower and redid the step on it so water didn’t keep getting on the floor. They also redid all the flooring in the master bath, took out the 30 year old vanity and toilet and replaced them with new modern styles that save water and energy. They are coming back to complete the guest bathroom and I’m so excited! They were also straight up about pricing and were always on time, professional and really listened to my vision and gave me input on what would truly work and what wouldn’t and I appreciate that ALOT! They did a beautiful job building/rebuilding my front porch. They were friendly and prompt. I feel that they went above and beyond by making sure I was informed every step of the way and kept the project on budget. We've used Murphy Construction for 3 years now, on 2 different homes. Everything has been done top notch from complete remodels of garage, home office, flooring, aligning doors, replacing hardware, bathroom remodel, bathroom tiling, kitchen tiling, to roof, doors, outdoor trench and pipe, drywall, painting, electrical, plumbing. What can't they do? Far as I can tell, they can do it all. Estimates are competitive. This is a family business, everyone is easy to deal with, pleasant folks, reliable, and trustworthy. Thomas Murphy has tackled everything for us from huge headache jobs to small niggling projects that we, as homeowners just don't have the experience to do. Can't recommend them enough.

Murphy Construction completed a remodel of one of our bathrooms. It was a tricky project because in our late-nineteenth century house nothing is plumb or according to standard contemporary measurements. We contracted with Murphy Construction after soliciting three estimates. We chose him because his estimate was inventive and made sense, all of this at a fair price. After he had completed the project with two helpers, we were thrilled by the perfection and beauty of our shiny new bathroom. But there was more than just that. The men were punctual, friendly and very considerate of the rest of our house. No doubt this was a messy job, but every evening we found our house (except for the bathroom. of course) clean and livable. We were also impressed by Mr. Murphy’s attention to detail. Every morning, he made sure that the last day’s work was perfect. In addition he fixed several defects in the bathroom including caulking and painting the ceiling—without extra charge! The team was great at communicating, asking about preferences and keeping us in the loop as they went along. We give Mr. Murphy Construction our highest recommendation; in fact, as we are planning other renovation projects, we will contact this company right away.

I highly recommend Murphy Construction! Thomas was very professional in his correspondence and in carrying out the roof repairs we needed. I also hired him to install Double ovens in our kitchen and he did a brilliant job. I am now making a list of all the other jobs we need done and will certainly hire him. Thomas is a very conscientious and personable contractor.

We needed structural reinforcement under the middle of our house and the work was completed to our satisfaction with excellent recommendations to resolve our issue. The work was completed promptly. Thomas Murphy was both polite and professional at all times and kept us informed as each needed step was performed. We will definitely use him for projects in the future.
