    1.0 Anita L. Roswell, GA

Bad experience. Failed to do 1.5 out of 3 tasks we contracted for, failed to bring the proper tools and equipment to do the work, did not do the specific work charged on the invoice, charged me for materials that were never used or even purchased, did not properly complete the work they did do, and poor quality workmanship and materials. The first job was to trim back a long row of bushes on the top of a 6-foot retainer wall. I was quoted $575 for the job. I asked that the top and only one of the sides be trimmed. So the owner arrives at my home with 2 workmen but did not bring a ladder. Wanted to know if I had a ladder his guys could use. Then, he did not bring the proper equipment and even 1 workman commented that if he had an extension for the hedge trimmer, the job would have been much easier. Plus, he ran out of gas for the trimmer and ended up cutting the tops by hand, very badly. Then, after almost 7 hours of doing that, I am asking, well what about the side, when is that gonna be done? Because of the improper equipment, the job took twice as long, looks bad, and is not complete. Then, when I expressed my dissatisfaction with the incomplete job, Lang says, well they look different than when I was here before. Then Lang proceeds to tell me that he just does not have the equipment to do the job. Then the second task I contracted for was the installation of plastic edging between a rock walkway and pine straw bed. Well, Lang says that he cannot do it because they would have to trench down to put in the plastic edging, and he did not bring anything with him to do that. And he would have to charge me more than he originally quoted me for the job. So that job was completely a no-go. Then the sod, well, first, he charged me for 15 bags of topsoil, which I am 100% positive he did not use. All I saw were about six bags lying on the ground, and when I asked him about it, he had a surprised look on his face and then said he was going to purchase it when he brought the sod. I was charged $195 as his delivery fee for him to pick up the sod; he did not purchase or bring any additional bags of topsoil. Also, he was to till the soil and remove all rocks before adding all this topsoil, because I had repeated problems with sod and wanted to make sure the ground was properly prepared. Well that was not done either, but I was charged $375 for tilling and removing rocks plus the 15 unused bags of soil. Then, his workman placed a few pieces of the sod in the wrong place, pulling up good grass that was already there to do so. Plus, he did not bring the roller to roll out the sod; I have since hired someone else to help me fix the sod that this company put out and charged me a high price for. Do not recommend.

    Response from Company:

This is totally inaccurate and extremely dramatic , She only paid for half of the project she complained about because she refused to pay and we tried really hard to please her but was impossible to do so, Why would only bring 6 bags of topsoil instead of 15 when there only $2 a piece, there were two areas we did topsoil work but she only looked at one area, she agreed to no edging so she is not telling the truth there at all.

They are on time courteous, and do a great clean-up. The owner of Morning Dew Landscapes personally checks up on the work after completion.
