We had a very large, failing retaining wall surrounding three sides of our property in Newton that required a complete replacement. I interviewed several contractors, some of whom backed out after seeing the scale of the project. Bruno and Junior Camara were the only ones who clearly had both the expertise and experience to take it on, and they also offered one of the most competitive bids. From the beginning, they were proactive and thoughtful. They collaborated directly with our structural engineer and landscaper several times to ensure the best possible solution and have provided helpful suggestions throughout the process. Both Bruno and Junior are highly responsive—available via email, phone, or text—and have even taken the time to reassure our neighbors when needed. Their crew is the hardest-working team I’ve ever seen. They start promptly at 8 a.m., typically work until around 6:30 p.m., clean up thoroughly each day, and only take a single lunch break. We brought in Masonworks for a retaining wall and some basement work after dealing with a very sketchy vendor. From the very first meeting, it was such a relief to feel like we were in good hands of a company that knew what they were doing, were thorough and behaved professionally. Everything was invoiced in a detailed and accurate fashion, there were no sneaky charges added on, they showed up when they said they would, stayed with the job with no inturruptions and they left the place clean. Excellent job and worth every penny.

Junior was excellent to work with. He was professional and kept me in the loop at all times, even sent pictures of progress while I was on vacation during the project. He also hired a dependable and experienced staff. I would use him again.

Masonworks (Junior & John & crew) did an awesome job on our new 20‘ x 2.75‘ walkway and prepped an adjacent planting bed. They were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. They always showed up on schedule. Their estimate was reasonable and communications professional so I didn’t bother getting any other estimates. They also sent me a list of other work they had done so I could do some drive-bys. They did the estimate last Fall, called me in April as agreed to schedule the job, showed up with a crew of very hardworking guys, and did a beautiful job in 1 day.

This was our second project with Mason Works. Again, Bruno and his team did really high quality work. Our new front porch and walkway look great! Bruno was super responsive and easy to work with. They did come in with one of the pricier bids for the work, but I'd say it was all money well spent.

Work was done when promised. The finished project was exactly what we wanted. We made some changes during the project and they were accommodating.
