Mark Brand Architecture

Mark Brand asked all of the right questions and worked tirelessly with the city permit department to make sure everything we wanted to do would be approved. Beyond being amazing on the phone with the city, his design fit with our mid-century home and anyone who has seen it is amazed at the transformation of our small back yard. We started this project with Mark in 2019, long before COVID-19, and completed the major construction in October of 2020. The actual construction began in May 2020 with demo, to completion in October 2020. Mark and his staff were with us through the entire process, communicating with our Contractor and Pool installer and keeping everyone in the loop and on track. I had never worked with an architect before, and feel grateful that my first experience was with Mark Brand and his team. Fees are explained up front, and although the fees were a healthy part of our budget, I know I got what I paid for! Communication with email and phone calls, as well as site visits were always timely, with any issues explained and problems worked through and resolved to avoid delays.

Mark asked the right questions about our project and I knew by how he spoke to me about the project that he understood what needed to be done to get started. Mark pursued the information needed from city planning and permits to the specifications and details about our swimspa which is the focal point of our project. We've been delayed in demolition and construction because of Covid-19 but I know it will get done and be perfect because of Mark's team and their meticulous attention to detail. I can add more when our project is complete!

hired Mark Brand Architecture to design an extensive remodel for my house in San Francisco. Mark and his staff gave me a lot of help during the remodel, especially when it came to working around or through problems that the old structure of the house posed including working with the project engineers. When I had to temporarily stop the remodel due to health issues, Mark and his team stepped in to make sure the job was kept on schedule. I feel they went above and beyond the call of duty with this project.

Mark does much more than just architectural planning. He is great at reading his customers and what they like. He does not overwhelm us with too many choices, and is incredibly helpful. He takes a lot of pride in his services and overall it was a great experience working with him. I already recommend him to people I know, and will myself hire Mark again for my next project!

Mark is very innovative, creative, very thorough, very detail oriented, and very considerate. Here is an example of why we think Mark is caring and has a good personality, we wanted certain appliances in our kitchen design, and he worked them into it without a problem. We also had Mark do window covering throughout our whole house as well. Our kitchen and the window coverings make our house look stunning! We have used Mark on several projects and will continue to use him for future projects. When you find someone like Mark there is no need to look any further!
