Reviews
Write a ReviewI had a disappointing experience working with Corey. He did an ok job installing the panel upgrade, but I failed inspection and he ghosted me after asking him to come back to fix it. -He did not realize or inform me each panel upgrade requires a whole house surge protector after 2020 NEC codes, leading me to fail my electrical inspection. -He put in PVC conduits but he did not put in expansion joints according to the electric code, which also lead to another failure in inspection, this was very expensive to fix. -He did not pay the township the permit money that I paid to him, basically robbing me the permit fees. -He stopped responding to text and phone calls after I contacted him after a 2 months of chasing him -I had to hire another electrician out of my own pocket to fix his install. He was affordable at first but it ended up costing me MORE in the long run to fix his conduit install, add surge protector and had to pay the permit fees AGAIN because he didn't pay the town.
We hired this company to do the entire electrical job on an apartment that was gutted to the studs about 31/2 years ago. We have a air conditioner window unit that we have used the past 2 previous years. There is a 20 amp circuit breaker in the box for it. This year the breaker tripped and there was an electrical burning smell. When this happened, about 10 of the outlets stopped working. We never had an issue up until this point. At this point everything is working off extension cords. I called Corey and explained the situation. He told me to text him the next day and he would come out to fix the issue. My husband and I both tried to get in touch with him. For over 2 weeks we called/texted him over 12 times and absolutely no response from him. We had another electrician come out and fix the problem. When he located the problem, he took the outlet apart. The box was burnt in several spots, the wires were burnt, the caps were burnt and there was 2 inch screws holding the box in place. The electrician said we we're lucky that it did not cause a fire. Corey's son is the person that worked in our apartment. Most of our outlets are in crooked. His work is subpar, dangerous and reckless. I can only hope that there are no more issues. Also the outlet on island stopped working and had to be fixed. I even sent him pictures of the burnt box and wires and still no response.
