First, we agreed verbally and in writing that the wood used to replace the baseboards (rot boards) on my fence would be pressured treated for ground contact. After I paid for the work I discovered that they used wood that was not rated for ground contact. The labels on the wood stated in bold letters that it is not suitable for ground contact. Second, after removing the rotten baseboards they told me the fence had rot elsewhere and urged replacement of the entire fence. We agreed that they should not install the new baseboards, yet they still insisted on full payment for the job even though they did not install the new baseboards.

They replaced a corner post in my wooden fence and reconnected both side panels, but failed to replace a damaged picket, that was part of the original bid. They reduced the cost by $10.00, but I have asked them to finish the job. We will see if that happens.
