My wife and I have used Barry Plaut, the owner of Ivy Renovators, twice in the past year to carry out improvements to our home in Poughquag, which we are in the process of selling, and to our new home in Millbrook. With the house in Poughquag, Barry repaired and refinished our deck, replaced stone facing ,and repaired a door to the garage. In Millbrook he has installed two doors, and some sheetrock and installed a handrail which was incorrectly installed by the previous owner. He matched the paintwork perfectly. We intend to install deck at the new house, and anticipate using Barry for this work. In addition, Barry keeps his schedule with regard to starting work and the duration of the work. Barry did a fantastic job we couldn't be happier with our deck replacement project! Highest recommendation A+. We did a complete resurface with entirely new railings and stairs - even added a much-needed second staircase down to our backyard. Along the way, Barry went above and beyond, for example by voluntarily improving some of the deck supports because it was the "right thing to do." Barry is creative, analytical, and meticulous, and just has a strong dedication to get things right. He is well-educated and well-spoken and was extremely professional and effective in dealing with our town government to get the appropriate permits and inspections done with zero hassle. And here's the clincher he's punctual and reliable and follows through on his commitments. We gave Barry a tough deadline - the job HAD to be done in time for a big family party we were planning to have at the house only a few weeks away. And though the weather and the Home Depot delivery people did their best to delay him, he got the job done right and on time!
