Icon Decking

I hired Todd to replace our wood deck with Trex. He did a very good job and was open to suggestions, etc., all praises to his job knowledge and workmanship. Although no fault of his, but of the railing vendor, our deck took three months to finish, instead of the 17 days forecasted. Yes, will hire Todd again.

We hired Todd to replace our old 1000 sq ft cedar deck with new composite decking and railing. We are so thrilled with the result. Todd did an impeccable job, suggesting needed structural changes as the project unfolded. His pricing was competitive and clear. He guided our decisions about decking materials for the best aesthetic result. Todd was pleasant and non-intrusive. He encouraged our participation in making all decisions. We now have a stunning new deck. This has increased our property value and our daily enjoyment. We recomment Todd highly. You will not be disappointed.

We hired Todd to perform some repairs to our water damaged support posts on the front deck in preparation for exterior painting. while pulling away the damaged lumber he discovered the builder must have poured the concrete around the support pillars after installation and some pieces could not be removed as a result. He also discovered that the lower portion of the trim was actually a polyvinyl material that had held up compared to the wood. He made the suggestion that while it would cost a bit more than replacing the lumber the material would hold up better long-term in that exposed location. I appreciated his suggestion and went with the vinyl material that he had to laminate himself because it came in pieces half the needed thickness. Despite all this extra work and change in materials I was happy to see that my final invoice was only a bit more expensive than the original estimate. Todd is very budget conscious and I felt involved in the decision process throughout the project. I highly recommend Todd and appreciate his integrity.

Todd not only made a very competitive bid for the lower deck we were adding on to our existing deck but he was very professional in his approach to the project, including not spending extra for clear cedar when the deck was going to be stained. The overall customer service and professionalism throughout our project was exceptional. We couldn't be happier with the finished product and would highly recommend Nice N Handy to anyone.

Todd was excellent to work with, dedicated, responsive, and always upbeat. He took the time to explain options to us and even recommended alternatives/improvements to our original design. I can't emphasize enough how positive an experience it was. We would highly recommend him.
