Gary responded quickly to our inquiry, quoted us a fair price and performed the work exactly how we wanted Rock Solid Excavation also showed up when they said they would and on time. I look forward to recommending them whenever I get the opportunity.

I needed my backyard landscaped for a new home build, and the yard stayed flooded all winter. Gary knew immediately what we needed to do, and had a plan in mind already to take care of the drainage problem while finishing off the landscaping with sprinklers, rock, and sod. I couldn’t be happier with the results. Gary is a pleasure to work with, and his crew is amazing. Communication is a breeze; I never had to wait to hear back from him. He was fast when it came to getting the estimate to me, and he was fast to respond anytime I had a question. His entire crew is professional, on time, and they care about everything they are doing from starting the project, to cleaning up when they are done. I would say they go above and beyond. Without question, I will call Gary if/when I have a project in the future.

Gary and his boys did a great job. Showed up on time, worked very hard. Fixing the retaining wall required removing just some huge nasty tree roots. It was not fun, but they worked very hard to get it so the retaining wall could be straight. Appreciate all the work they put in…. I would highly recommend Rock Solid Excavation.

Rock solid was hired to redo landscaping and install sump and French drains in order to correct a serious water problem caused by poor grade planning and design. After interviewing three contractors, Gary and his team hired because they looked at the project and offered a professional solution. This company was the only contractor that got it right and knew exactly what was required. They also had the right equipment and tools to do the job correctly. Once the problem was fixed, they did an exceptional job of getting the grade right and installing trees, edging and large rocks over new sod. The entire project was done professionally at a reasonable price. We have already had many positive feedback and we have committed to additional work in the coming months. Rock Solid Landscaping met all the criteria of this retired reclamation engineer. Very nice job Gary.

Project will need to be redone because the base is not able to support the load. We will do it ourselves.

They did clean and demolition after a fire. What a great crew, friendly, efficient and stayed on track. Gave 110% went above and beyond my expectations. I would recommend them to anyone needed service. Thank all for great job!!!!!

Gary and his crew did a great job grading my property and installing an irrigation system. The results were better than promised. I would recommend his company.

Back in October of 2022 we hired Hope Development to work on our back yard. The project included artificial turf installation, 3 irrigation lines (stations), 2 faucets, planting some small plants and putting down weed barrier and gravel. The price was right, the reviews were good and Gary and Tom (scheduling and $ guy) seemed like they would be good to work with. They were very easy to work until they made some mistakes and had to correct them, spending extra days on labor and materials. Due to weather and other contraints this job became very challenging and things were not completed in the winter but I was not worried because Gary told us he would come back in the spring to make sure everything was good. I emailed Tom in early May, 2023 to set something up and still have not heard back from him. I texted Gary and he sent out a crew to finish some things up. Much to our surprise, they did not finish the things we had agreed to in the contract from the Fall and when I texted Gary to ask when they were coming back he said they were done because it was over the price and bid and to ask Tom. But they haven't finished the agreed upon work. I emailed Tom again and texted and have not heard anything back in three weeks. They took care of some things but the most frustrating part is that 1/3 of the stations work. 1 line does not seem to be attached and another line seems to water the gravel. Also, we had asked for the type of drip line that waters specific areas, not the kind that has holes along the whole line. They installed the kind we did NOT ask for and now we have water pooling up under the gravel. Unless they decide to help us out, we are probably going to have to hire someone else to complete the job. I think the problem is that the project was underbid and they are done helping us. Although Gary and his crew are nice guys, in our case they did not follow specific instructions we had given and they did not complete the job. I guess we got what we paid for. We'd be happy to amend this review if they ever contact us and make it right.

Hire these guys!!! Gary and his team did a fantastic job on our landscaping project! This was not an easy job, basically it was a complete overhaul. Gary caught on to the vision of what we wanted done and made it happen. The initial bid was transparent and he stuck to the budget. Any further work he recommended, he provided a bid and gave me the option to do it or not. No surprises, just quality work! And he communicated every step of the way with photos, videos and descriptions of work completed each day and what the next step would be each day until completion. Seriously, we couldn't be happier! We will use Hope Development again!!
