Our deck was over 20 yrs. old and needed major renovation. Don came over within 12 hours from my call. He found out what needed to be done.and immediately got the materials together.. To my suprise, two hours later he showed up to do the work. He stayed 4 more hours and completed 90 % of the work. He continually kept his work area clean. He also gave hints and suggestions that added to the outcome of the finished project. He was here early the next day and finished the job. His skill and workmanship impressed us immensely. We immediately hired him for 2 more projects that we had postponed doing for a long time

One step at a time, Hillside Home Improvement has been transforming my house. Just a few weeks ago I was worried about my porch collapsing. Thankfully, they do it all. I appreciate the creativity and passion they put into their work, I have a whole new porch, new roof now, new gutters, they got rid of this massive ugly antenna, and they're even helping me in stages with some problems like the chimney was also leaning/want rid of but can't afford everything I need right now, so Don has been supportive and creative so we wouldn't take steps forwards and backwards with that, finalize the roof and cap off the chimney until I'm ready for the rest of the job. It's a relief to finally have a trustworthy, reliable, skilled, honest crew. He always keeps me posted on the project, timelines, costs/delays. I don't have to worry about waiting to hear back for months or cancelled on altogether like I've experienced with others. I look forward to more improvements in the future, thank you!

Once again, Hillside exceeded our expectations with their work ethic, skill, precision and innovative idea platform. Donald cast an idea after seeing our family struggle with an inadequate front entrance, then designed the plan and built it according to specifications agreed upon by my husband. It is beautiful and functional, well worth the investment into our home. I would recommend Hillside to anyone who chooses to have a project to remember that will last for years to come.

We had some siding that Don installed come loose during a recent wind storm. He responded quickly and came out himself to reinstall the dislodged piece of siding. He applied silicone and reattached the siding with screws to ensure a sturdy repair. Very professional, friendly, and efficient service. Highly recommended!

They pretty much rebuilt the entire porch. It looks fantastic, I couldn't be happier with it. From start to finish, I told Don I wanted his expertise in making it look and function right, and he was very thoughtful and creative in how this build would affect the future plans for the house and the longevity and quality of the overall construction. The crew and himself were always respectful, honest people - exactly who I trust my life with the construction of my home and being around my family and valuables to. Don surveyed my roof both outside and inside. He identified the problem, and submitted a proposal. He and his team performed the repair exactly as stated in his estimate. They were professional, worked diligently and clean up was perfect. I highly recommend Hillside for any home repair/project.

We loved our house but hated the front steps/porch and the back steps/raised patio, so we hired Hillside to design and build a fully enclosed patio/sunroom and decking to go around our hot tub and swim spa, as well as a new front porch, steps, and accessibility ramp. Donald has incredible energy and passion, and a really great eye for designing outdoor spaces that look great and work really well. He and his team worked on the project for about two months, and he constantly checked in on design questions, and made a lot of great recommendations for aspects we had not considered. We love the result! We have a great, weather-protected outdoor space that blends perfectly with the house, a raised deck that lets us walk from the house out to the swim spa, and steps to a lower deck that wraps around our hot tub. We also have a lovely front porch with robust handrails and a ramp (since this is our retirement home). Our neighbors have made a point to compliment the work!

We hired Hillside to build a deck but we're having solar panels installed and asked them to look at the roof, which we knew needed some work based on the home inspection we'd had done at purchase earlier this year. As soon as they got up there, it was clear the roof was in much worse condition than we realized -- and they offered to completely strip it, add new wood all over, and re-shingle it, along with re-shingling the garage roof. They had a crew here first thing the next morning and the whole thing was completed by three in the afternoon. Amazingly fast and efficient. The new roof looks great, and the price was very reasonable. A few years ago, we'd had a similar job done on our old house and it cost three times as much and took over a week to complete (same size roof), so we'd definitely recommend Hillside for this kind of work!
