Write a ReviewThey installed in August 2008, the installers showed up late for a scheduled 2 day installation. They explained they had to wait for some of the product because it was special ordered. The first day they put all their equipment in my back yard as we had discussed. There was some mud just inside my gate, they put cardboard over it and wrote "S***" on the cardboard. They left about 3PM. The second day, Friday of a 3 day weekend, they arrived late again but didn't even attempt an explanation. I pointed out that they had torn some of the trim wrap the day before; the reply was he would caulk the crack. I said to him I didn't want it patched, I wanted it installed correctly. There was some wood that had water damage that was in the contract to replace up to a percentage. I asked if they were going to repair it, the installer said he didn't need to because the wrapping will stop it from getting worse. They put a ladder on the shingles of the roof above my family room. Then they just pushed the extension up dragging the ladder stabilizer legs against the grain of the shingles. Then they packed up everything and left at 2PM saying they were going water skiing. I contacted the installation manager and he came out on the Tuesday. I pointed out the bent shingles the damaged wood and the patched metal. I also pointed out that the way the metal looked where the metal met on the peaks, I had discussed this with the installer and was told that was all the contract called for. All the other wrapped houses in the area had diamond boxes covering the seams to make it look finished. The manager said it was not contracted to do the boxes but because of everything else he would have them put them on. He made them replace the patched metal, pull the wrapping off and fix the wood and apologized for the shingles. He told the installers not to do that again and had them by his vehicle for a while discussing the issues. The installers were short and sharp after that, and even asked if I had the wood for the repair, we got that straight right away. They finished the job and left. I had the manager come out to collect the final payment because I needed to discuss a few more things. After we met in agreement the payment was made. I made it very clear that they were never to knock on my door or call me to attempt to sell me anything ever again in the future. The manager agreed, understood and said he would make sure I was on a list not to contact. I have had them come around trying to set up sales estimates several times and I have always been polite to the people explaining they are not to do this again. About 2 years ago I explained everything but told the canvasser that I was having a problem. He called to his sales person and I talked with the sales person. I explained the problem and asked them to get someone out her to inspect it. She told me to call the service department, and I did. I talked to them and they were supposed to get someone else to contact me to schedule with me to inspect it. Nothing ever happened. The next time I had one of their door knockers come around I told him to get the manager on the phone, I explained the problem and that they were not supposed to be knocking on my door. I was fed up and told them to get a service manager out here. I have a rotting issue and it is only going to get worse while they wait so they better hurry. Today, almost 1 1/2 years later, I had a person call from the service manager’s office. He said he was following up to see if my "roofing" issue had been dealt with. I informed him that it wasn't a roofing issue, explained the problem. He interrupted me several times and I got upset with him because of it. He finally said if I wanted someone to come out I need to go to their web page to put in a service request. I told him that I thought it was wrong that he was calling from the service department and I need to request a service call on line when he works in the department that gets the service request. I filled out a service request, and then about 2-3 hours later they call. I got nothing but attitude from them, interrupted me several times even after I explained that I really get upset with that. He said he can come out on Wednesday next week and rip the cover off the place I have problems, but if there is any rot he would have to schedule another service day to get the wood to fix everything. The service call would be $75, but that would go towards the repairs if there was any rotten wood behind the wrapping. I argued that there was a lifetime warranty on the protection. He said no, that is on the materiel, there could be failed caulking or an installation issue but my warranty on the installation was only one year. I got upset and asked what the materiel warranty was on, if it is metal and the day the house falls over rotten the metal would still be metal? He accused me of being rude and I had no business talking to him that way. Then he finally said his manager has been listening the whole time and He was going to get him involved, he said it like he was threatening me. I said let me hear his voice! I had to be put on hold for 2 minutes so the manager that was "listening" could take the call. He started with stating he has been listening to the conversation, I asked if he heard what I said, and he said again he was listening. I asked again if he heard what I said, he replied he was listening to his worker talk to me and he listens to everything that happens in the office. I explain my issue, he said "We only warranty the product, you entered into that contract, and you are getting what you asked for." I asked if the warranty the item the product is supposed to be protecting, he replied "We only warranty the product, you entered into that contract, and you are getting what you asked for." I just want to make sure others are aware that when you contract with them they will "We only warranty the product, you entered into that contract, and you are getting what you asked for." If you can throw $10,500 at something and they support is better from a toilet paper company, proceed. If you are like me and value your home and your money, be careful and consider yourself forewarned. Don't listen to their word, it is not worth anything!
