Did not have a wood chipper, they trucked the wood and branches away. This was a little messy.

These guys were great. The only reason for a 4 in Customer Service was that I was supposed to be the only job for the day, but they came in the afternoon because they had to do extra work for the previous customer. Dave was very apologetic, I would have appreciated a call. They did work until dark and returned the next dat to finish. Very knowledgeable friendly and definitely earned their money. Price was way better than anyone else. I'll ask them back in 2 years to maintain the fine work. Hire these guys!

The work done was of very high quality but I really struggled with communication throughout the projects. The garden built and plants put in have not yet gone through one season so it is hard to tell how well the quality of the plantings will prove to be. While my rating is a bit premature, it is what I believe will be the case after the first season proves out. I feel Dave Howe and his crew went beyond my expectations which resulted in a wonderful surprise for me personally.

They turned a useless area of my yard that I didn't know what to do with, into a beautiful patio and intalled a brick walkway that was much nicer than the origional plan at no extra cost. They were very nice and pleasant to work with and I'm looking forward to having more work done in the future.

Central office was a little unresponsive but the actual work of rototilling was very well done.

We aren't finished - maybe only a third of the way - but so far I'm very satisfied. These guys work very hard and keep in constant contact and are extremely accommodating.

Dave Howe of H&L Design is an excellent landscaper who gives his clients the time and attention necessary to develop an understanding and a good landscape design. He took the trouble to come up with a number of sketches and accepted my suggestions and came up with ideas when i had questions. He is also very fair and reasonable in his prices and explains the cost factors. He completed the work to my satisfaction and will come back in the spring to put in the plantings when the selection is better in the nurseries. I would strongly recommend H&L Design to anybody with a landscaping project.
