Dave and Cathy Howe professionally run this business. The design of our stone patio and solution to our drainage and garden access was elegant. The work was done meticulously and the employees were skilled, polite and hard workers. My muddy back yard was transformed into a useful area we can enjoy and use with pride.

HL Design was outstanding in every way from beginning to end. Dave and Cathy came to visit us more than once to discuss design features and answer our questions. Dave is a very knowledgeable arborist and has a thoughtful approach to landscaping and paver design that is no only beautiful, but eye popping! Dave, Cornelio (his foreman) and the team were meticulous in everything they did - bringing down a tree that was leaning toward our house, installing a paver walkway and patio with a fire pit and setting off this work with thoughtfully designed landscaping. They stayed on the job every day from the start of the project to the end, unlike some contractors who don't show up some days on a multi-day project . Their plan addressed every question or issue I had before I even asked. They included a lot of extras at no additional cost and delivered far beyond what they promised. We are very pleased and will be glad to recommend HL Design to anyone without any reservations.

Dave Howe and his team did an amazing job designing and installing out patio. HL Design is the embodiment of under promise and over deliver. His workers were personal and professional and they cleaned up every day before leaving. They obviously take great pride in their work and strive for perfection on every job. We have had friends and family look at our patio and say that it looks like it came right out a magazine. I would recommend HL Design for any hardscaping and landscaping needs.

Dave Howe- A humble, courteous, polite individual yet displaying knowledge and intelligence of unusual caliber. Tell him what you want and he will not only quickly grasp the job but in addition add his own expertise as an added bonus. His workers are very efficient and polite. Give him an additional job and he will willingly make it feasible. How do you treat such a person?? Give him another job that you are holding as yet not done. This is exactly what we did. The day he finished the first job he was given another one. I can't say enough good things about Dave and Cathy and their whole team.There work was well conceived, they were all wonderful to work with. Many of our neighbors asked for their business card when the retaining wall and walkway were done. We expect to work with them in the nest month. Highest marks.
