H Forrest Contracting

I had a unique situation: my home was in Maryland, but I was out of state and couldn’t easily return. I contacted Angie’s List and got bombarded with texts from about 10 “roofers” who were clearly bots—they wouldn’t take calls and only wanted to text. Then Henry Forrest from Forrest Contracting called me. I explained the urgency: a vulnerable adult lived in the home, which had just been scammed by fake contractors who left holes in the roof. When it rained, water poured in. Mr. Forrest went out the very next day, kept in constant contact, and sent photos so I could see the damage. He provided me with a clear contract and returned the following day with two crews, completing the job in one day. I was incredibly relieved. I would hire Forrest Contracting again—his professionalism and commitment were outstanding.

We hsd a leak in our roof. I listed the project on Angi and they called me immediately and were at our home within an hour. They fixed the area where the leak was and gave us an estimate on other areas, including the chimney, needing repair. The work was completed in two days. They were prompt, polite, professional and efficient. The work was high quality and included a guarantee. We are very pleased.

The work itself was good, but management could use a little more professionalism. The contractor has insurance, but my HOA needed to be named on the certificate as well. They promised to send the requested COI, but after three requests they still have not provided it. The work was done quickly, but at a higher price than originally quoted. This contractor is good for quick jobs that are not overly complicated.

H Forrest was very responsive and able to quickly repair storm damage. Came out right away to provide temporary solution until his team finished repairs next day. Fast and good quality work.

1 After flagstone was installed, it was not properly cleaned before sealing, leaving black mold. The ugly mold concentration is proportional to the number of days the stone was installed before sealing. Porch installed first has the most mold, then north side patio, with acceptable appearance on the south quarter of the patio. 2 Concrete was dumped on the southwest corner of my lawn.

The men who did replaced the flashing and roof shingles around a skylight that was leaking were very curtious and professional. They went the extra mile and replaced some other shingles and glazed the skylight glass. Highly recommend them for any roof work!!!
