I worked with Gross Flooring to refinish my hardwood floors. Communication with the owner, Jim Goss, was good and we created a clear plan that we both followed. Unfortunately, the quality of the finished floors was not acceptable. After the first refinish, there were visible arch marks in the floor, which Jim acknowledged should not appear in a proper finish. He offered to come back and redo the floors, and we scheduled a return visit. After the second refinish, the floors were still not satisfactory. The finish was uneven, and there was debris trapped under the final coat. Jim communicated again, stating that the house needed to have no airflow during the process. Even after this third attempt, the floors were still not acceptable. He then asked to come back yet again to sand the floors down to bare wood and completely refinish them. At that point, I declined and requested a refund instead. I provided a written cancellation of the contract, but I have not received a refund.

I learned from one of Jim Goss' workers that he's a third-generation wood floor guy, after his grandfather and father. I can now understand his knowledge and passion for his work. He's great to work with, provides a very fair price and his work speaks for itself, excellent quality. This is the second large wood floor Jim has redone for us. Highly recommend Goss Floors! Great bang for the buck!

Jim and his crew refinished our hardwood floors and they look amazing- better than new! We had several bids from different people for this project. Jim was our last bid and while a bit more expensive he was so detailed in what they included in the price I think we actually saved some money when compared to what the other bids did not include or were very vague. Jim included everything that would need to be done before, during and after the floors were done. They removed all doors, moldings and toilet and put them all back when finished. (This was going to cost extra in the other bids we received). Jimâ s crew arrived on time each day and cleaned up before they left. They also worked extra to limit the amount of time we had to be out of our house as we have a toddler. Jim came out to inspect the floors when they were done and saw some spots he wanted to redo and they ended up putting an extra coat of finish on with no extra cost. I highly recommend Goss floors and would/will hire them again for any future wood flooring projects!

Jim is very friendly very informative extremely patient.the value of the work to cost was amazing. His workers are friendly arrive same time and work hard. Floor is not complete yet but coming along just like Jim said it would. I highly recommend Goss floors. I spoke to many floor guys before hiring Goss none were as informative as Jim. If ever I need another floor Jim will be the first one I call. Itâ s a great family owned business.

Jim Goss answered all of my questions and worked with me when I made changes. His crew came when they were scheduled and let me know what to expect. I would definitely hire them again and recommend them.

Jim Goss and his team are top quality. We requested bids from several contractors, most came back with vague definition of what they would do. Jim was very detailed on his bid and even though his bid was a small percentage higher than others we went with Jim. Once his team started working we knew we had made the right choice. Their knowledge and experience was head and shoulders above the rest. Bonus they were really nice guys. We are extremely pleased with their work. If you are thinking of DIY, I did that once in the past, it's a lot of work and it was so so quality job. Go with the experts and avoid the aggravation.

My floors look lovely, Even more important, I can vouch for the fact that Jim Goss is a man of integrity and decency, who is committed to customer satisfaction. In the course of this job we ran into a difficulty that was not clearly the responsibility of either Jim or myself - Jim worked hard to find a solution that worked for both of us AND he demonstrated excellent communication skills during the process.

Goss Flooring did a wonderful job on refinishing my existing floors and added new hardwood flooring in my living room and dining room. Jim Goss was professional and communicated with me frequently with updates during the long time it took for the wood to arrive (supply chain challenges). The floors came out gorgeous and on-budget. Jim is easy to work with and his company deserves a 5 star review!
