Window Repair

I had a sheet of glass installed for my sliding glass back door. I had to replace a sheet of glass because of a rock going through one sheet. I called this company and received an estimate. I was told total turnaround time was 4-6 weeks. Well 2 months later I still did not have my glass because the manufacturer did not sell my glass. Two months to find out they could not do the glass. Then the glass finally came in. And now the door the glass was installed on does not operate anymore. Then I was told they ordered the wrong weight? That is why the slider is no longer working. Well they ordered me new rollers for the slider. I was told 3-4 business days and it is been almost two weeks. This service sucks. And it seems management says anything in order to get customer off of phone. I do not recommend this company.

Repair Existing Shower Door or Enclosure

I had to replace my coffee table Glass I measured everything except for the thickness of the glass so I ordered it when I went to pick it up I was told that glass table tops were usually 1/4 inch thick I ordered a 1/8 inch so they Immediately cut another glass to suit my needs I highly recommend Glass Doctor.

GLASS DOCTOR, HAD TO COME 2X SINCE THE FIRST VISIT ONLY HAD 1 SERVICEMAN RESPOND. THIS WAS DUE TO SERVICEMAN B.C. NOT ACKNOWLEDGING THE CORRECT SHOWER DOOR TO BE INSTALLED. WHICH COST ME AN EXTRA DAYS PAY LOST. THE 2 SERVICEMEN THAT DID COME DID A GREAT JOB. HOWEVER ONE OF THE BRACKETS IS CROOKED.

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

Verify Trade License HomeAdvisor checks to see if the business carries the appropriate state-level license. Verify Insurance As a part of our screening process, we encourage professionals to carry general liability insurance. We require coverage for hundreds of services. Verification of State Business Filings For business types that require a Secretary of State filing, we confirm that the business is in good standing in the state in which it is located. Criminal Records Search HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
