We are an independent swimming pool service agency providing pool equipment and supplies as well as residential pool cleaning services to ensure you can enjoy a dip anytime. The team at GPS Pools, Inc. has more than 20 years' experience providing swimming pool services and repairs for residential and commercial pools. How We Got Started

I chose to work in this industry because We are an independent family owned company, developed by our inspiration in swimming pool care, quality and enjoyment. We began as a swimming pool cleaning services and have now branch out to offer a more competitive retail market place with two retail locations. We carry all major swimming pool products, Hayward, Pentair, Sta-Rite, Jandy, Pure Chlor, SwimPure, Breeze. We have grown our business by listening and understanding exactly what our customers want, therefore we are proud to say we have built our business by customer referral and satisfaction, which has complimented us much more than any advertising we could pay for. Another enjoyable side of our swimming pool business is the trust and dependence that we are able to offer our customers in repairing, and remodeling all their swimming pool needs. This offers us a more satisfying end product of watching our customers get back to enjoying their swimming pools again. .

OMG...I can't say enough great things about GPS Pools. They took care of every aspect of my Swimming pool project. It now looks amazing. Not only that, they care about their customers. They have called me a few times since the project was completed just to make sure everything was going okay with the pool start up. It you choose somebody else to do your repairs you will be throwing your money away.

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

Verify Trade License HomeAdvisor checks to see if the business carries the appropriate state-level license. Verify Insurance As a part of our screening process, we encourage professionals to carry general liability insurance. We require coverage for hundreds of services. Verification of State Business Filings For business types that require a Secretary of State filing, we confirm that the business is in good standing in the state in which it is located. Criminal Records Search HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
