Crew executed and completed project on time. The project was removal of 2 large pine trees and 1 smaller ash tree with stump removal. They cleaned up and removed all parts of the trees. They did an excellent job and were very pleasant. We are satisfied with their work and will have them back for trimming in the Fall.

I would definitely recommend GE Tree Service. Our tree removal job was more complicated than we realized, involving a special boom lift over the house for a tall, heavy tree, in a precarious location. They handled it all quickly and at a very reasonable price. My husband (a former insurance agent) was adamant we hire someone with proper insurance coverage. After meeting with owner Mike, he was very impressed and knew he was working with an experienced, ethical pro. I had the same impression when scheduling it. This is the type of family business I always want to work with and highly recommend. 5+ stars for GE Tree Service!

The service did not live up to my expectations. I hired GE Tree even though they were not the cheapest because Mike Garrigan who came out to estimate the project seemed really knowledgeable. Unfortunately after that initial meeting we had nothing but issues. I called in to let them know that I wanted to go with their quote- the person who answered the phone said that Mike would get back to me to get that scheduled. 4 days later when I had not heard back from Mike I called again to check in and was told I was already on the schedule, but they could not tell me when they would come. When they finally did come a week later, they completed the work in one day. However, they also cut the cable line to my house so I had no TV or internet in my house until Comcast could come 2 days later. I called Mike to ask about that, but his response was pretty apathetic- they did not even offer anything for the inconvenience. On my invoice, I paid $85 for debris removal- come to find out that only included the wood and not the wood chips caused by cutting down the tree and removing the stump. The wood chips were nearly a foot deep. So deep in fact, that it was not until much later on that I discovered that they had only ground down 2 of the 3 stumps that I had paid for on my invoice, so I had to have them come back out to finish the job. Overall I was very unsatisfied with their service.
Response from Company:
I am sorry Mike P.[Consumer name withheld at their request] feels this way. As for scheduling, it is very difficult in Colorado due the strange weather, especially this past spring. There were several tree emergencies that always take priority. As for the cut cable, I did not install the cable the line, nor plant the cottonwood tree. It was not marked when the utility locate was done, although many times phone and cable lines get cut even though it is marked because the stump grinding has to be done. Comcast will come out and repair for free. Based on all my other ratings and reviews, I can't please everybody, but I sure do try. With that being said, why would I compensate for something that is not our fault. It is just part of the process. It also clearly states on the estimate that "All wood chips and dirt from the stump grinding are the responsibility of the customer unless other arrangements are made." There is always wood chips and dirt when you grind a stump that goes back into the hole where there stump was. There will be wood chips when you grind a foot deep. As for me being "apathetic", I am sorry for the inconvenience, and I know how frustrating it is to be without cable and internet, but there is nothing I can do. Maybe the complaint should be made to the folks who did the utility line locate, since they clearly didn't mark it correctly.

They were careful not to damage anything. They had to work in a tight area and removing the wood was challenging.
