Reviews
Write a ReviewProduct was applied evenly and left discolorations on the driveway, walks. The high-shine sealer on the stamped concrete patio faded in less than one week to a milky white finish. Owner, Chad Crisp said he would return to apply more sealer, then never showed and did not respond to numerous calls and texts. I do not recommend this business
We contacted Chad Crisp to redo our stamped concrete patio. He talks a good talk, he states he has been doing this for 20 years and he can fix anything. He kept saying that he fixes problems all the time and this one he guaranteed us that he could fix it. He also states he is the only person that does what he does as far as repairing stamped patios. The total price was $5,200.00 We gave him a down payment of $2,600.00 to be put on his schedule then the remainder was to be paid when complete. He started the job Aug. 4, 2020. He was paid to: 1. Pressure wash the patio. 2. Spray grout coat. 3. Antique with color. 4. Apply sealer. All of this with a 10-year warranty. He pressure washed one day, came back the next night around 7:30 p.m. Then the following night he came back and antiqued around the same time (colored) the following morning around 7 a.m. he was here to apply sealer. So of course he wanted final payment. Everything looked good till the sealer got heated up and we had big blisters and bubbles. Of course, needless to say, we were very upset (would you not be if you just gave someone $5,200.00?). I contacted Chad by text message he was going out of town so he came out Monday evening. He stated that he could fix it never in his 20 years has he ever seen anything like it, and he was not going anywhere, (that was not even in my mind until he said that) so he sprayed it with xylene and that would take care of it he also said he may have to spray it a few more times. It has not worked it has now been over 3 weeks. He has come back and sprayed and he stated he is trying to figure it out. He comes out for maybe 10 min. at a time spray and gone. Well, he came last night 8-31-2020 he showed up at 9:15 p. m. It was too dark out to see anything we stated to him we wanted to talk, he asked about what, both my husband and I said the patio. I said to him *we have been patient you need to do something it has been almost a month and we do not have a patio we can use*. I also stated that we should not be put on the back burner because you have our money. That I thought since he was so busy he should come out on the weekend (He said I do not work weekends ever) I received a text from him this morning. We talked to him about stripping and starting over, he does not want to do that. 8-31-2020 he stated again I am not going anywhere. I am convinced if it comes to hard work that is not for him. This is what he texted to me. (Keep in mind I am a 66-year-old woman and my husband is 69 years old.) his text reply is as follows: *Angie, I cannot work on your project anymore..99% of the time I go to your house. I get attacked by you, Angie. I have asked numerous times to let me figure the problem with your concrete out. But you keep attacking me. You are providing a hostile work environment. I feel unsafe and stress going to your house. I feel like this is going to get physical and I do not want that at all.* So my recommendation is - do not use Decorative Coating Systems, he is a flimflam man.
Chad and his team are friendly, polite, knowledgeable, efficient, and experienced. They are extremely cooperative and a delight to work with. They always follow through and execute in a timely manner. Would highly recommend Chad and his team,
He took his time and did a great job.
He did a good job!
We hired this company, offered 10 year warranty on the project but never completed work. Got Attorney General involved - our complaints were never addressed by company. Surprised to see this company is still in business.
I would never use this contractor. He totally overcharged for the work he did and his customer service was lousy. He would give lame excuses for why he couldn't show up on scheduled work dates. After he finished the job (not to our liking), he promised to come back and re-do it. After 6 weeks of waiting, we gave up and finished it up ourselves.
Chad put the coating on our 12 yr old patio in Mar, 2016. He said he would give us some touch up paint to match the patio and border in case we had some additional cracking - which we have had. I began calling Chad in late April to get the touch up paint. First time I called he answered and said he would bring over some paint and two small brushes - he only lives 10 min from our house. He never delivered. I have called him 1-2 times/week since then leaving messages asking him for it or to call me back. Since then he has never answered his phone when I called or called me back. It has been over 2 months and we're still waiting. His customer service is HORRIBLE. I'd never recommend him to anyone.
Chad and all of his staff were very friendly and hard working. I would highly recommend this company. The job was completed in a timely manner and looks great. Definitely satisfied that I received quality workmanship.
If only all other home service businesses operated their business this way. Chad is a true professional. He did what he said and followed up numerous times with me to make sure everything met my satisfaction.
