CertaPro Painters of Western North Texas

Receive estimate from Jeremy (Sales Associate) on 4/5/19 with an agreement to paint the walls, outer front door and kitchen ceiling of our 4bdr/4bath home with the understanding as per contract that CertaPro would cover and protect all furniture, cabinets, fixtures. Job would be completed in 3 days (took nearly a month and very poor job with poor cleanup effort). Agreed to $4000.00 after offer of a $824.54 military discount. Also, discussed if paint were put on carpet or flooring, CertaPro would replace or clean (did not clean to previous condition or replace carpet). Per contract, clean up would be completed in full daily in each room (did not happen). Drop cloths (did not use at all), tools and ladders (painters used my ladder because company did not provide one for 3 days) to be put away for safety daily (none of that was done). Our house was cleaned by us and professionally cleaned (have receipts) prior to CertaPro entering for painting walls. Our carpet was professionally cleaned (have receipts) prior to CertaPro entering our home. Our wood flooring was immaculate prior to CertaPro entering our home. Our lawn did not have paint thown about prior CertaPro entering our home. Agreed paint start date would be in a week and half. CertaPro crew started a week early without our knowledge. Wife showed up at our house on Friday to find 2 workers living i.e. spending the night, sleeping, cooking, eating, used all 4 showers and bathrooms for personal hygiene. Chicken bones on floor, dirty clothing in my office, made cornbread in our cleaned oven. Painters stated that Jeremy knew they were staying there without our knowledge. House was a disaster. Paint on carpet, wood floors, cabinets, fixtures, showers, tub, lawn, and our sink (some kind of corrosive), the only set of curtains (painted on) that were left in the home because of our move to put the house up for sale. Jeremy suggested that we leave the key to the house since no furniture was there and his painters would have easy access. I was hesitant to do that. But because he kept stating how professional his company is and insured for $2 million. I relented. We were promised a professional paint job (job is mediocre and incomplete) would be done. They kept giving us dates that they would be complete with the paint and cleanup after we complained and did a walk-thru with the owner (Gerald Bushong). All things we showed them during the walk-thru were not completed after 3 times of promising to fix it, still is not done. After sending a text to Jeremy explaining that we were still not satisfied, Gerald called and threatened to put a lien on our home if we do not pay in full immediately. So we made arrangements to pay them the full balance under threat of a lien being put on our home since we were eager to put it on the market. They knew that and used it. Worst customer service ever. Their attempt to make it right was to do everything as cheaply as possible. They are cleaning crew made up of Jeremy s kids did a subpar job of it. Wood floors, carpets still had paint splatter. Wife and I spend hours attempting to get paint from wood flooring after paying these guys. Finally gave up. Stay clear of this company.

CertaPro painters is an awesome company! Their father son duo is centered on customer satisfaction and quality work. My family couldn't have asked for anyone better! Jeremy called and came to our house quickly, gave us a very reasonable quote for a big job (the entire exterior of my 2 story house), painted it the next week in 4 days. The painters were here early and stayed late to make sure they painted everything just as I had asked. We have 2 places of stone and the corners around it were seamless! I am so impressed with their craftsmanship. If we ever need anything else painted, I will never go anywhere else. Thank you guys, you are simply the best!

Two small mistakes made but it actually enhanced rather than otherwise. The guy thought I would like it better and I did.

They need to keep in contact with potential customers better. MUCH better.

Very courteous, responsive, and professional. Work was does when and in the quality promised. They did a great job from quote to the finished job.
