Reviews
Write a ReviewDon came and started a project on the house for insurance. He has not been following up with any of my phone calls or emails. Its been 3 weeks. He negligably, either voluntary or involuntarily, switched approved materials approved by insurace for a cheaper material. He has many red flags and I would 100% recommend you run away from this business. Low integrity, and frankly IQ. Makes excuses.
Hard workers
Prompt, knowledgeable, respectful
I will not recommend this business to anyone. Please read all and I will try to explain. This was a very Devastating Nightmare experience! Mr. Don Saunders, Cavalier Enterprises, was called to evaluate my floor and mold damage, he requested copies of all insurance paperwork, and with that information; he quoted his price on the job. ** Before I explain, PLEASE review your invoice, before paying this contractor. Mr. Saunders tried to charge for EVERYTHING the insurance company allowed (Work not done). I found over $2,500.00 OVERBILLED. Mr. Saunders took those items off the invoice. He did make a derogatory remark about me dissecting line-by-line items on the invoice. ** Please Note: The insurance company told me that the paperwork is between the homeowner and the insurance company, NOT the Contractor. You do not have to give the contractor the paperwork. If I asked Mr. Saunders to do his quote without insurance information. I may have been told about all the damage in my crawlspace. Cavalier only fixed what the insurance company was paying for, and advised that I needed a new Moisture Barrier. He did NOT tell me there was major damage to wood beams and joists. I had 5 other companies come out after Cavalier finished their work. I was told the Cavaliers work was minimum at best. In my crawl space, Cavalier attached a foil bubble wrap on top of some of the old moisture barriers that needed to be replaced. The moisture barrier that they removed was thrown in another area under the house, instead of discarding it. I paid another company to remove the old moisture barrier and to re-quote the job. A good contractor would have removed all that old moisture barrier to do a true evaluation. I have wood damage that Cavalier never pointed out. Which caused problems in my house after Cavalier installed my new flooring. Mr. Saunders was told about the problems and he explained that he told us that we needed a moisture barrier and that not being done right away, caused the problems. Mr. Saunders defended himself by saying, he did exactly what the insurance company said needed to be done, and he is at no fault for the problems showing up now, 3 months after he completed the work. I called him 3 or 4 times and he never responded to my calls. Mr. Saunders is a smooth-talking Salesman and seems to only be interested in the insurance money and is happy to quote any upgrades you would like done. Since he is in the business, I suggested he tell people about a few things outside the scope of work, and his response was it is â not my job. It would have even been nice if recommended we were to call the insurance company about these unknown things. Cavalier only minimally repaired what the insurance company covered. I would not recommend Cavalier Enterprises to anyone.
Don an his crew did an amazing job with drying and repairing the water damage throughout the house, the new walls, carpet and new floors all look amazing
Bunch of scumbags only after insurance money.
Hello. Sorry, there is a misunderstanding and confusion about the opinion of this consumer. It is ok to disagree, but we are very professional and not? skumbags? as you say. Never did any work for this consumer, so they should have nothing to complain about our company. They are confused.
Fast, efficient and professional. A pleasure to do business with.
Cavalier did a wonderful job replacing our laminate and retiling our bathroom! We hired them after we had a broken pipe and our slab had to be broken into, and our floor needed to be replaced because of it. They were punctual, respectful, cleaned up after themselves, and made me feel very comfortable having them in our house! Mark, Don, Hernando, Ryan, and the rest of the crew were all wonderful and made this process super streamlined and easy. I could not recommend them more for any kind of repair work!!
I could not be happier with my new floors installed by Cavalier Enterprises. They made everything EASY. After nearly a year of speaking to numerous flooring contractors who never followed through on their quotes or promises, Cavalier was the FIRST to actually do as promised. I was impressed when the crew arrived on time, knowing that we were off to a good start. Oscar and his crew worked tirelessly, professionally, removing existing floors and carpet, and upgrading those spaces with the beautiful floors I had chosen. The work was well done, and the entire job completed in a single day! I am impressed with their work; my new living areas are beautiful. I had two small issues, called Don, and they were back out the next day making sure my job was completed flawlessly. I can not say enough good things. If you need restoration work or any home upgrades, call Cavalier Enterprises.
Hired them to mitigate water damage and they left the job unfinished. They replaced the subfloors in the kitchen and laundry room. They removed the tile from the bathroom but did not replace the subfloor. When the crew left, we brought this to the general contractor's attention and he placated us with empty promises that they would take care of it. Weeks passed as we worked on a replacement estimate that included a kitchen Reno. They still had not addressed the bathroom subflooring. We asked them to take care of the bathroom before we moved forward with any other work. At that point, they give us another estimate claiming it was not included in the original contracted work. While we had no issue with the cost, what we had issues with is them leaving such a blatant issue in the first place.they should have been the ones to come to us and say that the bathroom floor needed to also be replaced. We would have paid the additional money at that time. But after months of delay, we had no confidence in the quality of their work. A company that could leave the job when there were obvious signs of damage in the bathroom obviously cares nothing about the quality of the work. When asked about this, they tried to claim they were waiting on the insurance.so that tells that they only care about the insurance money, not doing what is right to fix the damage.
Well, there are always two sides to every story. This review is not true and unfair. We completed everything that we contracted to do in a very timely and professional manner. We have signed the acceptance certificate of completion that was signed by the customer. They are being difficult and making false accusations and we are not interested to do any further business with this customer. We are a professional company with over 34 year experience and we work very hard for 100% customer satisfaction. Most of our customers and reviews are excellent. If this customer continues with false accusations, we will pursue legal proceedings.
