Mr. Bennett was the 1st person who called me 2 minutes after I entered the request. We scheduled an appointment for the next day Friday. Mr. Bennett arrived on time. He introduced himself and began working. He asked the appropriate questions. He delivered the appraisal report as promised. Thank you

The appraisal was offered at a $50 discount of $350. And $400 to rush it in one day. I needed an appraisal sone quickly for an estate sale on a pending offer to appease the sellers on the value of the house. Bennett came to the house to measure and I specifically said the measurements would not align with the town records because 5 additions were out on by the builder and sole owner of the home. Bennet didn?t listen and did an appraisal with comps that didn?t reflect the home. He then said he would correct the mistake and get it done in a day and then failed to live up to that promise. When I asked for a refund he promised to repay half the amount and never did. That was over 2 weeks ago. This is a business and service that is supposed to keep people honest. Instead I got the run around and no resolution to date.

Response from Company:

Customer wanted an appraisal because she felt her family was being offered a low number. She asked for a next day appraisal, I explained that there will be a rush fee so she went with two day turnaround. The appraisal came in at the number her family was requesting. The customer became upset and demanded a refund. She explained that she didn?t have much money and was hoping for a higher value. I explained I understand her disappointment and to help remediate offer 50% refund for her hardship.

    HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities.
  10. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup)
    We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
