Service was requested and appointment made for a Monday, between 9 and 6. The company did not show up or even let me know that there was a change in schedule. I called several times and was told time and again that they would come but with delay. Then finally by 7:12 PM I was told that it was not going to happen. The following day possibly. I called the manager who said that customer satisfaction was very important after I let him know how disappointed I was with their lack of communication. Then finally I was told that today, the day after the first attempt, they would be here at 1:30 PM. Nobody here. I called again the tech; there was some delay. They would come today for sure. Still, called again around 3:40 PM and they would come. Nobody. Then I was promised 4:40; it's 5:45 PM now and I just got a hold of the tech who tells me that his supervisor told him they would come tomorrow. Nobody tells me this. I am left in the dark, no service. Customer service is non-existent. If you need a reliable service please shop around, avoid OBA.

I hired this company. The gentleman who came to my home was told I could only do this if they were able to schedule quickly. I was given a date in August. I checked 3 times including the morning before the work was scheduled and was assured they would be here. Then that same evening they called and told me I was rescheduled 3 weeks out. I tried to cancel and was told by customer service only the salesman could cancel. I tried to call the salesman and had to leave a message. He texted me and said he would cancel. I also sent a certified letter cancelling. Four days later I am still on the schedule and everyone keeps saying the salesman has to cancel. I called him again and left a message and he texted me back saying he would check on the cancellation. I will not get my $500.00 deposit back. And now I do not even know if someone is going to show up instead of cancelling.

I recently had a basement repair service completed at my older home, and I can't thank Ohio Basement Authority (OBA) enough for their outstanding work. We were experiencing water issues around the area where the water line enters our home, but OBA's consultant promptly reviewed the problem, provided a recommendation, and presented a proposal for the necessary work. I was impressed by their efficiency. Scheduling the service did pose some challenges, but considering the current scarcity of labor resources, I had realistic expectations. Despite this, the OBA team showed up on the scheduled day, and I was immediately greeted by a friendly and professional crew. They took the time to explain their plan of action and kept me updated throughout the day. In fact, they even discovered a few hidden issues that were potentially contributing to our water problems. Their attention to detail was remarkable. By the end of the day, the team had successfully repaired the water sleeve and sealed the connection. To my surprise, they also fixed one of our downspout lines, which wasn't even part of the job, and took care of putting back all our mulch and landscapingâ  something that wasn't their responsibility. They truly went above and beyond, and as a result, everything is now fixed, leaving me with a wonderful experience. If I had to mention any negatives, it would be the difficulties I faced with scheduling and the absence of an online payment system. I found myself spending more time than anticipated just trying to pay my invoice. However, in all honesty, these administrative issues are minor compared to the exceptional repair work they provided. I was truly impressed with the quality of their service. Without a doubt, Ohio Basement Authority will be my first call whenever I need similar services in the future. Zeke, Larry, and the entire team, thank you for a job well done. Your dedication and willingness to go the extra mile have left a lasting impression on me.
