As an engineer, I deal with commercial contractors every day. Greg did an outstanding job repairing and sealing a long-neglected wood deck that I hadn't properly maintained for several years. Unlike other contractors who provided estimates, he crawled under the deck and noticed things that the others completely missed, including structural issues and the presence of mold. His close attention to detail, obvious intellect, and quirky sense of humor made the 3-day project seem far less invasive than smaller projects I've recently hired out to other contractors. As promised, Greg left the legacy redwood portion of the deck largely untouched and did a fine job of matching the spacing and color of new pressure-treated Douglas Fir planks to the legacy redwood. There's something about this guy that makes you trust him immediately -- a kind of purity of spirit that you don't often encounter when dealing with contractors. Exceptional workmanship from an incredibly talented craftsman who clearly loves working with wood.

Archemy is a company that gives contractors a “good name”. From start to finish the job went well. They came when they were supposed to and the work was meticulous. A trust bond was established almost immediately. Gregg treated my decks as though they were is own. Never requested to do anything over and above and pointed out exactly what was needed. An honest contractor with great work ethics , how novel. I would recommend him to all.

Greg repaired and painted my deck. The deck was partially destroyed by a tree which fell on it during a recent storm. Greg was very thorough, explained to me everything he was doing and did it flawlessly. He was always on time and kept me up-to-date with his work. I will definitely work with him in the future.

Greg is knowledgeable about decks and their repairs. Very detail oriented and a hard worker. The deck came out looking brand new! He even went out of his way to paint our hide-away fence by the pool to match the deck! Plus he's a very pleasant guy! Went out of the way to do some touch up work.

Greg and his associates did a great job restoring a wooden deck that was significantly weather-beaten, as well as stripping and repainting our house. It was a challenging project to begin with, compounded by shortcuts taken by the original deck builder (somehow overlooked by the local building inspector at the time) that Greg uncovered and corrected. They worked tirelessly through heat, humidity and even light rain, regularly updating us on the progress and inviting us to evaluate the quality of the work to make sure it was to our satisfaction.

Greg did a great job of evaluating what we really needed to do without overselling. Good work, pleasant to work with.
