Reviews
Write a ReviewThe workmanship was terrible. My pool was cracking in several places and they turned out to be structural. I had to take Blaine to the Ca State contractors board. 2 experts were brought in to evaluate the problems and both testified of the inferior job. I won the maximum allowed under his bond which was only 15,000.00. ( Every one should check the contractors bond with the state) I had to hire another pool contractor. It currently is costing me approx. 60,000.00 to correct several structural cracks in the pool. This contractor blames everyone else for the problems. My pool has not been finialed by the county because of the problems. Pictures are available.
Blaine is a get it done on budget contractor. We had Pool damage from the Carr fire. He gave us some discounts on the refurbishment. We are pleased with his flexibility and work product. Would hire him again in a minute!
Not real good
Some of these projects that are in flood irrigation areas with high water table are difficult to do. The project turned out beautiful, we still had 4 months to complete it. If you have anything, an issue with it, please feel free call the shop!
Blaine did a nice job of building a amazing pool. We are very pleased and would hire him again. Subs can be an issue, and iIf Blaine is not there to watch the subs, I would suggest you take the time to watch their work. There are 2 small areas of the final plaster, I would have liked to have turned out a little smother. It is strictly cosmetic and well under the water line. In fact after swimming in the pool this past summer, my wife is still not aware of it. A realtor neighbor said our pool was a $70,000 pool. I can assure you we paid far less than that! We are very happy with the final product.
Blaine worked with me to create the spa/ pool combo that I had in my mind and answered all my questions. Did take longer than expected but most of the delays were due to waiting for the subcontractors for the gunite and the plaster. Was good about letting me know when they would be here so I could put my dog away.
He called ahead of time to make plans for the work, arrived late . Did the work. Could have cleaned up a little better when he was finished. The work was good and he is reliable, polite and easy to deal with. I would hire him again for my pool work.
