Write a ReviewI had to hire a new service cause my guy retired. Unfortunately i chose angies list thinking they would be good I should have read reviews. They tried charging me more hours but never did the work. Then the owner harrased me calling me the n word and I'm asain american!
The workers did a good job with cleanup, but the company misrepresented what they would charge. It was double the dollar amount with no warning. They told me initially that they would call before they went over the two hour time limit for approval. I never received a call and the receipt shows that they did 10 hours of work! That is ridiculous! I would never hire this company again. The workers were conscientious, but the people that own the company are apparently not to be trusted.
Didn?t get my little driveway plowed out for 48 hours couldn?t get to the doctor a nd push my trash can out on trash day. Maybe they need to get more help. Paid $2000 for my contract. They are a joke.
This company has truly been a life saver for my mom. She?s in her late 70s, lives alone, and has regular medical appointments she can?t miss. In the winter that?s always been a huge worry for us. After one big overnight snow, her driveway was completely cleared before 6am. If they hadn?t come that early, she wouldn?t have been able to get out for her heart appointment. She definitely cant shovel herself anymore. It might sound dramatic, but being able to safely leave the house in the winter is everything for her. They?ve been reliable, on time, and just really solid all season. We?re very grateful.
The pro was very pleasant and accommodating. He came out the same day that he was hired. Because it was late in the day he only did 1/2 of the driveway so we had a place to park our cars and get them off the street. He also cleared our sidewalk, walkway to the front of the house and a path to the back of the house so that we could get our garbage cans out.
After my reliable plow service decided to close their winter business this year, I was desperate to find a plow service for the 2025-2026 winter season. I had called several plow services, but they were unable to take on my property. I turned to Angi’s, to help in my search. The only name that Angi’s provided was Andrew’s Lawn and Snow. Their website looked very professional and I was intrigued that they claimed to use snow blowers, instead of traditional truck plows. I filled out the request Angi’s service provided me, for a call back. Andrew’s called me while at work and seemed to be a reputable company, and while very expensive, I was desperate, and decided to agree to their services. I paid $3504.65for 2” of snow removal, that included my driveway and walkway. I never saw or signed a contract. They took my debit card number over the phone and gave me the local number to call if I needed to reach them. Last month, with the 1st snow fall, Andrew’s showed up, although later in the afternoon, and did exactly what was advertised, plus they shoveled my back deck, which they had not mentioned including in their service. They came back a week later and did the same. Then a week ago, it again snowed. Andrew’s did not come during the day, but very late at night, I awoke to a Ring doorbell notification. I saw a plow truck at the end of my driveway. When I awoke the next morning, it looked like a plow truck somewhat plowed my driveway, leaving a large patch of snow behind my daughter’s vehicle, and my doorstep was untouched. This past week, on December 2nd, we had a snowstorm. Andrew’s did not show up. I called the local number I was given and it went to voicemail. The voicemail stated that if it was a snowday, then the crews are most likely out clearing snow and please be patient. Give them 24 hours after the snow stops to clear the snow. I left a message to please call me. The next day, Andrew’s still had not shown up and I never received a call back. I called the main number and a very rude man asked me when the snow had stopped. I told him I wasn’t sure, I had been at work. He told me that he was sure they were on their way and hung up on me. On Thursday, December 4th, we had another snowstorm come through. Andrew’s did not come again. I called the main number and was hung up on. I called it several more times and it went to voicemail. I left a voicemail to please call me back. I did not receive a call back. I also called the local number I was given, several times, with no answer. I left a voicemail message to please call me back, and they did not. Later in the afternoon, one of my colleagues wanted to help me. She called the main number pretending to be a customer looking for service. She spoke with Paul. He gave her a price and the services they would provide. She asked what would happen if they didn’t show up and was told “that has never happened in the 18 years they have been in service”. She also asked where their local office was in Syracuse, NY. He told her 2 Plaza Drive Suite #134 East Syracuse, NY. This address was for a Staples in Auburn NY. She called the post office to see and they told her this address did not exist in East Syracuse, NY. After not hearing from Andrew’s all day and calling numerous times, I called the main number and told them I want to cancel my service and I would like to be reimbursed for my $3100, because they did not provide the services I was told they would perform. I also wrote them an email to the address listed on their website, stating the same. Someone from Andrews did show up, Friday afternoon around 3pm, after the driveway was shoveled, and we told them to leave and not come back. He told my husband that he was dispatched to come to our residence, because we had been missed. I am a registered nurse at a local hospital and need to be able to get to work, even when it snows. I cannot risk the chance of not being able to get out of my driveway and deal with the uncertainty of a plow company not showing up. I also have a disabled husband who has difficulty walking and uses a wheelchair. I can’t have him falling on snow and ice, and using a wheelchair over snow is very difficult. I ultimately decided to buy a $1500 snow blower and will have to take care of my driveway myself. I have including pictures from this past week of the snowfall we had, and the proof that the snow wasn’t removed. I also included a picture of the driveway, that my 72 year old parents helped me shovel. I hope that you are supporting me in recovering the money that I paid to this fraudulent company, as it was your business who recommended them to me.
Crooks. Took my money and ran. Day 3 after snow fall ceased and the snow is still there, and they won't call me back. I have 2 buildings and 5 households depending on this service, including elderly and disabled veterans. Watch out, looks like they make it hard to get out of the contract and get your money back. The agreement is the property has to cleared of snow within within 24 hours, but the contract says they have 7 days to fix it until you can get out of the contract. Nice crooked little trick there. Also seems like they changed the name from "Andrews Lawn and Snow" to just "Lawn and Snow," probably because they kept doing this to people and you can't keep track of who they are if they change the name.
Wondering if they pick up the leaves after they stop falling? Maybe in the final mow?
The homeowner hired Andrew's Lawn and Snow for lawn care contract for the dates of MAY 1, 2025 through OCTOBER 30, 2025. The homeowner stated that there has been significant issues since the beginning, describing the service very poor and not meeting their expectations
I'd rather choose a local company next time. I believe what was described was different than the services they actually provided. I attempted to resolve the matter with the company to no avail. It's better to deal with a local company that cares about its customers and reputation.
