Pump went out right before Thanksgiving but was able to get it replaced and operational within a couple days and during very cold weather.

I have a deep well 1968 jet pump (220 volt). It sits in the basement instead of at the bottom of the well (as with newer, shallow wells). My well pump was cycling too quickly, then not turning on at all. Able Well & Pump service came within two days of my calling them. They had asked for details of the pump behavior, make, model, over the phone. Able arrived, adjusted the pressure in the holding tank, cleaned and replaced some parts on the relay switch, and got the jet pump running properly again. Relay switch was burning out due to rapid pump cycling. Price was reasonable for the amount of time, type of work, and parts. Able is searching for a replacement jet pump. These pumps and their parts are VERY expensive. Try and by a part for your 1966 Mustang convertible. Able said they will give me a price, and I can weigh that against drilling a new, shallower well. I live in Chesapeake Beach on a hill overlooking the Bay (hence, need a deep well). The deep well water is perfect and sweet (from the blue clay layer). Able are EXPERTS at jet pumps. If you have a jet pump, do not call anyone else. Tom is nice and worked until 8pm without charging extra. John J.

They were prompt, anticipated the correct problem, and had all the parts to do the job on-site. They were expensive, though. Labor seemed reasonable but the prices on parts were list, whereas I would expect they can get them cheaper. That was about a $400 difference on my job.

They would not quote prices for work that they were going to do until after they had already done the work. Then I got a surprise $3400 bill at the end...what could I do but pay it since the work was already done. Mine was a special situation because they had to dig to release the pitless adapter but a cost was never given me before they actually did the work. I would have stopped then and got another quote but they said nothing till the work was already done.

I only gave them 2.5 stars for the value only because another company gave me the same diagnosis at no cost prior to this company coming out. I appreciated the service and the effort put into trying to repair my well that unfortunately could not be repaired.
