Write a ReviewWe hired A&J landscaping to mow our lawn and weed eat our flower bed the owner said they would dig the plants up by the roots so that they wouldn't come back and if so, he would send his guys back and we would not charge, the plants, came back so for he has not sent them out to do the job right. Three weeks ago, one of their workers broke one of our crane statues and a sprinkler the owner said he would come out and look at the crane and the sprinkler that was broken it has been four weeks and he has not tried to come out to rectify the situation just one lie after the other. The edging they do is too deep no blade should go no deeper than two inches because it can cause erosion of the sidewalk even lawn so I wouldn't recommend them to any friends of my or enemies.
Very professional- did work exactly as promised! Would definitely hire these guys again.
Meets expectations.
After speaking with another service provider to have a tree removed from my backyard, I decided to go with A and J Landscaping even though the price was higher. The tree to be removed was near a pool, and the representative from A and J informed me that they would cover the pool during the work. This was an attractive offer which ultimately lead me to chose A and J Landscaping. The day came for the tree to be removed and several workers showed up and began to work. I saw no signs that a pool cover was going to be used. When I inquired about covering the pool, I was told they would not be covering the pool. This was upsetting since this was a major factor in choosing this company, and frankly I felt this was a dishonest business practice to lie to a customer about the benefits you say you would be providing with no intention of delivering. I am still giving A and J Landscaping 4/5 stars as the work they did was very good. I still would not hire A and J Landscaping again as I can no longer trust what I am told.
Here is our experience. We walked the job. They wanted top dollar, more than we were paying previously. However, we were promised quality service and attention to detail. Instead, a different crew comes each time. No consistency in service. I registered my complaints. They left deep ruts where they mowed instead of use weedeater, they left other areas unmowed because they would not move the lightweight decorative chair they promised they would, they did a poor edging and mowing in other areas where grass just pressed down and not mowed, they said they would relock the gate upon leaving for security/allowing pool access potential accidental drownings, but they kept leaving it open. We complained numerous times they always said they would fix the problems, but did not. Recurred final time, and only after we fired them, did the manager take us seriously. Then they called back or texted 4 times trying to win back the business. We had paid MORE for LESS service than our last company which retired from the residential mowing business.
Did a pretty good job
Very professional and thoughtful. I wasn't quite happy with the initial work done so they came back and walked through the yard with me and fixed everything to my satisfaction. Will definitely be using A&J for all future projects.
They chopped two trees down on 11/18-19. While dropping branches from the treetop on 11/19, they dropped several on my power lines ripping them from my house. They collected their payment from me and left without informing me of the damage. On 11/21 I noticed the damage and waited until Monday 11/23 to contact them. Arturo informed me that I had told his crew that they did not need to worry about the damage, that I would fix it myself. Today is 12/08 and except for them coming out twice without all of the material, they needed to fix the damage. The repairs still have not been made. To add insult to injury they also left their empty water bottles and restaurant cups all over my yard.
An amazing father son team of professional arborists with skilled staff. They took out a 60 ft live oak with a 4 ft diameter bole in just two days ground the stump and cleaned up thoroughly. They are insured and bonded and practice extreme safety. They were hampered by a swimming pool, an alley and a high fence, the house and the neighbors house but literally touched none of them. I fully recommended this company to anyone in Dallas looking for skilled tree experts at a very affordable price. Thank you Arturo
