AJC Home Services was here this morning about 8:30 to cut down 12 very tall Evergreen trees. I watched them do this and it was very interesting to see the whole process. The 2 gentlemen were professional, hard working and thorough. They had them all cut down along with the clean-up in under 90 minutes. The stump grinding crew are on their way, as I write this to complete the job.

AJC Home Services is a deceptive company with unethical business practices. They took a down payment from me of 50% of the cost of an outdoor home project, however, after realizing that my homeowners association (HOA) did not approve the project. I immediately informed AJC. I called the owner (Ben - who was also the person who took my down payment) within 24 hours of discussing the project with him. I did proceed to obtain the HOA approval of my project. They rejected it. I informed AJC Home Services and Ben and Katie refused to reimburse my down payment, even though they have not invested anything in the project and not even proposed the details of what is to be done. The pictures on their website are all stolen from other websites and businesses. They did not do the work that they advertise on their website! You cannot trust this company.

In response to this request for refund of the deposit, we as AJC Home Services are issuing a full refund to the client. We want to acknowledge that there were circumstances with which we tried to work through with the client. We received information from the client and not the HOA who was "denying" the project and we asked for contact to the HOA decision makers which the client was reluctant to provide initially. A letter was received saying project was "denied" but referred to streets and sidewalks when this project was for concrete project for a driveway and the sidewalk from driveway to the house. It was our concern that the "sidewalk" in the letter from the HOA referred to the street/egress sidewalk. We were finally provided with the contact information for one HOA member and between emails and voicemails, we reached out 5 times to ask to be able to discuss the scope of the project and clarify the details as based on the letter, that was not made clear and was a vague reference to only sidewalk and did not address the driveway. We repeated to let the customer know in our communication with them that we would refund the money once we had received a denial from the HOA when it was allowed for us to discuss the details/scope of the project so that we could either adjust the project to meet the expectations of the HOA board or accept the final denial of the actual project from the HOA board in documentation to us.

If you are looking for a contractor look no further than AJC Services I had a huge Maple tree in back of house and next to garage they came and gave us a good rate to take the tree down and grind the stump They did an awesome job and hard workers they cleaned the whole area and haul away everything including an old shed would hire them again without thinking twice They do great quality work and very professional Bob & Rita Hasty
