We were out of state and had a serious roof leak at our home in Charleston, SC. We werenâ t traveling due to the pandemic and ABC Roofing ( Sidney Cowan) took all our worry and stress away. He went out promptly to assess the problem and sent pictures showing the damaged roof. Upon completion he sent pictures of the repairs. They did an excellent job and were a pleasure to work with. I will call ABC Roofing without hesitation in the future. R. Danielson

Overall I'm satisfied with the job. We had several shingles replaced from wind damage and a leak addressed at a transition area. Was a little pricey but so far so good.

He DID NOT REPAIR OUR ROOF LEAK. DID A VERY, VERY POOR JOB. DOES NOT FULFILL HIS 10 YEAR WARRANTY. HE was hired to repair area around a dormer in the roof that had been leaking into interior and exterior house window frames. Water was dripping from upper window frame. (While painting roof dormer, I stepped on soft area in front of dormer in roof overhang.) I got two quotes â ABC Roofing and another company. I have an email from him stating that he would repair roof dormer area. HE REPAIRED HALF OF AFFECTED AREA. I went into attic to determine why roof was still leaking It was leaking from front portion of dormer. It poured rain last night. water was streaming down house siding into exterior window framing as well as interior window framing. When I contacted Cowan that we still had leak, he stated he wanted an additional $1450 to repair area continuing to leak. His 10 year warranty is not worth paper it is written on. He repaired half of the affected area, neglecting to repair damaged roof area. WORD TO WISE â DO NOT HIRE ABC ROOFING FOR ANY ROOF REPAIR.

As consumers, we hear stories about "nightmare" contractors. What the average person does not know is that contractors encounter "nightmare" customers. There is not a website for contractors to post a negative review about a customer. On April 28, 2020 we went out to inspect a leaky roof for Mrs. Susan P. The right side of a dormer was leaking. We took inspection photos and emailed a quote for repairs. This email contained detailed pictures with the area to be repaired outlined in white. Our scope of work listed in the repair quote was executed exactly and we have before and pictures to document everything. Mrs. P. was delighted with the crew and referred us to her next-door neighbor. We did a roof repair for the neighbor the following week. On June 15, 2020 we received a call from Mrs. P.indicating our roof repair was leaking. Keep in mind that 7 weeks have passed since the repair. Our June 15th inspection revealed that the left side of the dormer had sprung a leak and we sent her a quote to repair that section of the roof. Mrs. Pa.insisted that we repair this addition section of the roof AT NO COST !!! Of course, we explained to her that the warranty on the original repair did not extend to the entire roof. My wife and I spend every day hoping to exceed our customer's expectations. You can tell from our 50+ reviews on Home Advisor, our track record since 2003 is something to be proud of. I think it is unfair to slander a hard-working company without any recourse. We did nothing wrong here. This is just another customer trying to get something for nothing. We will not be bullied. IMPORTANT UPDATE - AN INDEPENDENT ARBITRATOR HAS REVIEWED THE EVIDENCE AND HAS RULED IN FAVOR OF ABC ROOFING & REPAIR. ( 8-14-2020 ).

A fair and affordable estimate, prompt response after acceptance and on time arrival for the repair. The work was done extremely professionally and the clean-up was done immediately.
