"Marty replaced my old Federal Pacific electrical panel with a new 200Amp panel and ran a 30Amp, 220V circuit to my garage with a sub panel. He did the work at less than half the price of other competitors. Granted the competitors were the big companies that quote from a book (Brother's Electric and Always Best Choice). As his business matures I hope he raises his prices a little as he deserves a bit more. Overall he did a great job - the inspector and another electrician complimented his work. He also quickly addressed some really minor issues the inspector brought up. I'll hire him again for any electrical work in the future and I'd recommend him in a heartbeat."

"I needed my panel upgraded to install an EV charger. Drew was easy to book and came to the house and explained what needed to be done. He installed the new outlet and was able to change out a light switch the same day. The price was reasonable and the job was completed in no time. "I cannot express how happy I am with the team at Tipping Hat Plumbing, Heating & Electric. My house had Aluminum wiring in it and I called around looking for a team of people to rewire the entire home in a tight time restraint. Justin came out to do the estimate work and explained all of the options that I had. He was very professional and treated my home as his own. Justin and his team (Kurt, Devin, Zeb & John Jr) worked diligently to ensure the entire project was completed on time. The team treated the house with respect and would ensure that I was satisfied with everything before leaving. Some highlights of the teams performance are below -Covered all furniture with tarps to ensure they would not get dirty -Wore boot covers to protect my floors (wood and carpet) from getting dirty -Vacuumed and swept the areas that they worked -Informed me well in advance to any power outages that I would have during the project time -Worked outside in a blizzard to complete the job before the time limit -Shoveled my walkway when it snowed while I was at work -Gave recommendations on what I could do in the home (Adding outlets for wall mounted tvs, adding lights above the shower that was previously dark, installing ceiling fans) which were all included in the budget. - Took the time to answer any of my electrical questions and they were more then happy to show me what they were doing. 4. How to Prepare & What to Know Before the Electrician Arrives- Be as thorough and detailed in describing your needs to your contractor. The more they know, the quicker the job will go.
- Before they arrive, prepare a precise list of items you want serviced. Electricians have budgeted their time for a service call. They don’t have time for additional requests once they are on site.
- Make sure the electrical panel box is accessible. You’ll pay for the time it takes to access it.
- Clear away fragile items, knickknacks and furniture from areas where you expect the them to work.
- If you have questions about the project, ask them before they start. Most are happy to run you through the problem and the process of fixing it.
- Ask about potential issues after the work is complete. During a service call a professional will spot any potential hazards.
- You’ll lose power to parts of your home while they work. Be prepared to pause anything you’re doing during the service call.
- In most cases you’ll have the option to either pay at the time of service or have a bill sent to you. You’ll be able to pay with cash, credit and sometimes check.
