"We have been working with Todd Willoughby since early in 2018. We had purchased a piece of land along the Chesapeake Bay and wanted to build a small but thoughtfully designed contemporary garden cottage for our retirement. After speaking with a number of architects we chose Todd and we have been very happy with that decision. Over several months, we worked have closely with him through the several design phases, culminating in a very complete set of construction documents, that we are now using for bidding. Throughout the process, we have found Todd to be personable, smart, perceptive and creative. He has been able to translate our ideas into working drawings that one of the contractors noted was called the most detailed he has ever seen. Todd has captured our vision for an environmentally friendly house with solar and rainwater harvesting. We have met with him many times talk through the many details, choices, and constraints you inevitably face. He has done all the coordination needed with the other specialties the engineers, surveyor, and solar energy firm. Having enjoyed this first part of the collaboration, we are hiring Todd to help us through the bid evaluations and construction admin phases. The best recommendation would be our actual house, but until we get there we can say Todd has done an excellent and professional job getting us this far, and we look forward to working with him through to a completed project."

"From the design to the build to the finishing features and everything in between, URB was excellent. It was their architect that came out and their designer that consulted with us for the plans. Having had an addition built before, I worried about hidden cost, we had a chat about that before hand and I can tell you that I had no surprises in that department. My addition was delayed because of the COVID 19 restrictions but URB kept checking in and kept me abreast of the situation on their end. As soon as everything opened up they were ready to go. This brings me to what really set them apart. Their site manager was amazing. He was professional. He was considerate. His crews were polite, professional and hard working. He set realistic deadlines and met them. Any question or concerns were answered and addressed promptly. I know they were working on other projects but I didnâ  t ever feel like I was not getting the attention that my project needed. I anticipate that we will have other design/construction/remodeling needs in the future and I know exactly who I will call upon for that task."

They kept me informed of the work progress and sent me pictures where trash debris was larger than originally surveyed. "I hired Brianna Jensen, of Autumn's Horticultural Service, because I wanted to support a local small business. I am here to say that it was great decision! I had several rather medium-large projects that I needed done, from getting rid of an invasive plant that was taking over my river rock and Hosta garden. This had to be accomplished by literally digging up all the plants and sifting through the dirt to remove any signs of roots or pieces thereof, plus digging up my gigantic Hosta, dividing them, cleaning their roots in a bucket, and replanting them to make a separate Hosta garden in addition to the existing one. Brianna worked very efficiently and completed an incredible amount of work in less time than I had estimated! She is strong, and can easily lift 50 lbs.
