"My project was to replace a degraded 3 feet high railroad tie retaining wall on one side of our driveway. Jose at Dardah Landscaping was prompt and professional, and the estimate they gave was very competitive. He gave me a few options to consider, depending on my budget. After a prompt site visit, I accepted their proposal for a stone wall to match an existing stone wall on one side of our property. Work started in just a few days and was completed in a timely manner. They made sure there was minimum disruption to my personal schedule. While the job was in progress, we discussed a couple adjustments that would enhance the appearance of the completed wall. We settled on a few finishing landscaping touches, which added a few dollars but really makes our front yard look good (and saved me a couple weeks with a shovel and pitch fork. I am very pleased with their work and would recommend Dardah for similar work without hesitation."

"Vilchez is more than just a landscaping company. I had some challenging work needed on my property and Jose and his team exceeded expectations on all counts. Pardon the long but impressive list: 1) completely rebuilt a crumbling 40-foot retaining rock wall along my driveway -looks fantastic 2) completely rebuilt a 60-70 foot deteriorated, curving retaining rock wall in my back yard that is literally holding back an angry steep hill, and cleaned up much of the stuff growing on it - again, beautiful work and it's a pleasure just looking at my new wall 3) re-pointed and re-sealed my chimney - I recently had some random leaks in the house during rain - just after the fix, it rained for a solid three days and 0 leaks! 4) removed a huge (9-10 ft) yew from the side yard and trimmed a monster rhododendron next to it (just as tall). The rhodo now looks like it belong in a painting. Ran out of room, so to conclude, Jose has very fair and reasonable rates and we have more work to do :)"

"Father and son team with 2 other workers, father is mason with decades of experience. Their work on 2 walkways was spectacular. They used existing bluestones, put down a 3 inch concrete pad first, cemented bluestones in place, mortared joints. Then they lined the border with 4 inch wide stone (similar to cobblestones bitch cut flat). Truly an excellent job. I would hire them again, and strongly recommend them."

"Originally hired MJ Masonry to replace an existing railroad tie retaining wall and like most projects there was mission creep. I asked Michael of MJ Masonry if they were interested in taking on 2 additional projects: replacing an old stockade fence with a new one, and replacing a cement walkway with a stone walkway. We agreed on the price of the 2 additions and all projects were completed to the original schedule within 3 weeks of the start date. Details of the projects: 1. Retaining Stone Wall is over 130 linear feet 2. Stockade Fence is approximately 88 linear feet 3. Stone Walkway is approximately 63 square feet The workers lead by Jose are consummate professionals. They went above and beyond what is required to do their job. It was the little things like cleaning up after themselves and repairing annoyance type things that is not in the contract without being asked. At the end of the entire project, my wife and I were so pleased with MJ Masonry's work, we gave them a modest bonus. The icing on the cake was when some of our neighbors coming over and telling us the day after the projects completion that the Retaining Stone Wall, the Stockade Fence, and the Stone Walkway looks beautiful."

"I hired Elmer to replace a railroad tie retaining wall with a modern stone block retaining wall and install granite steps. He also made a paver walkway. He also cleared off vines and weeds from an existing rock wrap wall, installed fabric and replaced rocks to prevent future weeds. He made new flower beds, placed my preference for low maintenance plants, and placed river rocks in the beds. It all looks fantastic!
