"Vilchez is more than just a landscaping company. I had some challenging work needed on my property and Jose and his team exceeded expectations on all counts. Pardon the long but impressive list: 1) completely rebuilt a crumbling 40-foot retaining rock wall along my driveway -looks fantastic 2) completely rebuilt a 60-70 foot deteriorated, curving retaining rock wall in my back yard that is literally holding back an angry steep hill, and cleaned up much of the stuff growing on it - again, beautiful work and it's a pleasure just looking at my new wall 3) re-pointed and re-sealed my chimney - I recently had some random leaks in the house during rain - just after the fix, it rained for a solid three days and 0 leaks! 4) removed a huge (9-10 ft) yew from the side yard and trimmed a monster rhododendron next to it (just as tall). The rhodo now looks like it belong in a painting. Ran out of room, so to conclude, Jose has very fair and reasonable rates and we have more work to do :)"

"We found Goodwood General Construction on Angieâ s list. Our project was relatively large in size. We added a six foot fence and changed our driveway from asphalt to stone pavers. We added a patio in the back. The project also included granite front and side steps, a granite mailbox post and the removal of several trees and bushes, and numerous old brick pavers and stones. The entire site had to be regraded to correct drainage issues on both sides of our house. Henry (The Contractor) was exceptional from the start. He was very calm and helpful during the whole process. He provided our estimate in a timely manner and was right on target for both the start date he promised and completion. The crew was respectful to our property and neighbors. At the end of each day they cleaned the site and left it immaculate. He has great communication and followup, he shared pictures as examples of his work and brought over sample patio stones to select. He let me know promptly when rain delayed the start date, and answered my questions about his plan. He moved a plant I wanted to keep, which showed good thoughtfulness. "Leo installed a two-level bluestone patio with stonewall. He was on time, on budget, responsive, and easy to work with. The final product looks fantastic, and the stone work, especially the stone walls are extremely impressive as he cuts his own stone, rather than using commercial products as other landscapers proposed. His team worked extremely hard, and did a remarkable job cleaning up when they were done. Moreover, the his price was not very different from other quotes I received even though his portfolio and the resulting product looked, at least to me, to be more impressive. I highly recommend him. "Originally hired MJ Masonry to replace an existing railroad tie retaining wall and like most projects there was mission creep. I asked Michael of MJ Masonry if they were interested in taking on 2 additional projects: replacing an old stockade fence with a new one, and replacing a cement walkway with a stone walkway. We agreed on the price of the 2 additions and all projects were completed to the original schedule within 3 weeks of the start date. Details of the projects: 1. Retaining Stone Wall is over 130 linear feet 2. Stockade Fence is approximately 88 linear feet 3. Stone Walkway is approximately 63 square feet The workers lead by Jose are consummate professionals. They went above and beyond what is required to do their job. It was the little things like cleaning up after themselves and repairing annoyance type things that is not in the contract without being asked. At the end of the entire project, my wife and I were so pleased with MJ Masonry's work, we gave them a modest bonus. The icing on the cake was when some of our neighbors coming over and telling us the day after the projects completion that the Retaining Stone Wall, the Stockade Fence, and the Stone Walkway looks beautiful."
