"Successfully repaired a Whirlpool upright freezer that was not freezing. Ace Appliance Pro called in less than an hour after I registered with Angi, and was at our house less than half an hour later to figure out what was wrong with our six-year-old freezer. I was prepared to buy a new one (which would fit better into our kitchen), but our "Pro" advised me that for less than half the cost of a new freezer, this one would last another five to eight years. And in less than an hour he replaced the whatchamacallit and fix the frizamabob (those are the technical terms), and our ice cream will remain solid. And he was nice to have around and did not mind us watching what he did and asking questions. Definitely will call Ace when the next appliance goes on the fritz. UPDATE: The repair threw the circuit breaker for our freezer and refrigerator. I called Moe and he was at our house within 20 minutes. He checked everything and concluded that it was the new part that was causing the problem -- and that many more repairs would be needed to make the freezer work. He gave us back our check, and told us we'd be better off buying a new freezer. While I wished we had not had the freezer go out (making peach cobbler now with the defrosted peaches, which thankfully were the only things we lost), I respected Ace's commitment to doing the right thing. I'd use him again, comfortably."

"Outstanding service. Left message around 2:00 on Friday afternoon. Youssef called back within a minute. We did not have an emergency, but he suggested coming out between 5-8 that night. Replaced switch to garbage disposal, and got the ice maker dispensing ice again. All done within the window of time for a very reasonable price. He was prepared to replace disposal, had a new one in his truck just in case. Also a replacement hose for ice maker per my request, but that wasn’t necessary either. But Youssef was prepared to get the job done in one shot and he did. When he was finished at our Ellicott City home, he was off to Mt. Airy to repair a washer. It was 7:30 on Friday night! But he felt this customer needed to get the wash done this weekend, and he wanted to make it possible. Unbelievable. He’s like a super hero! He can do it all. Polite. Prompt. Knowledgeable. I had talked to four other companies outside HomeAdvisor, and it was difficult to find someone with expertise to do this. When AJ came, he quickly assessed what needed to be done, gave me a reasonable price for the work and completed it in a timely manner. He even took the large box that the appliance came with, so I did not have to dispose of it myself, a surprise, as we had not discussed that. The price he quoted was the price he charged.
