"What an awesome experience this was! We had a very tight timeline (1 week) and they were able to get it done. From the initial call to job completion it was maybe 5 days. Martin was quick to response and very helpful with all of our questions. Alex was the employee who was laying the tile. He was quick, professional and clean. Alex is a true craftsman! The tile work was 10x better than we were expecting. Even with our dog bugging him every now and then, he would give him a quick pet and continue to work. I would highly recommend VM Designs LLC to do your tile work."

"These folks are amazing! Ivan and his crew were timely, took great care of us and our new floors are amazing. The only complaint is that they left some garbage around, but I didn't really fault them for it, as we are in the middle of a pandemic. Hire Ivan!!"

"Sandra and Cesar are excellent to work for and they did a great job remodeling are basement. They converted a garage into two bedrooms, put a new kitchen and bathroom in at a good price and quality. They stick to what they say they're going to do and they are honest. I also like that they have relationships with solid subcontractors and can get some design work done too. I highly recommend them for any of your projects and I will be using them again for our upstairs remodel."

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
