"Chico was hired to remodel our entire basement and garage conversion. His work was impeccable. The remodel was challenging in that we wanted to keep the historical look of our Queen Anne home but also modernized. We appreciated that Chico was very hands on and creative in coming up with a plan. He executed on the plan in time and w/in budget. We are so pleased with the outcome. Highest recommendation!! He's trustworthy, easy to work with and highly efficient."

"We initially hired Home Pros to do a modest job that multiple other contractors had said was too small to bother with, even though it represented a fairly sizable investment to us. Home Pros were happy to do the work and were fairly priced. We were so happy with them that we ended up significantly expanding the scope of work we were doing. They did good work, were communicative about anything going on with the project, courteous, and receptive to small change requests. They explained everything, especially any discoveries that presented themselves along the way, like the burst pipe inside the wall, so there we always felt like we knew what was going on and there were no nasty surprises at the end. We are pleased with the quality of their workmanship. Working with Home Pros was a refreshing 180 degree change from the last few contractors we have tried. It is such a relief to find someone you can trust for projects that are outside your comfort zone or are just not able to deal with. We would happily hire them again!"

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
