"This is an excellent construction company. Jas and his dad are just amazing and very knowledgeable on what they do. Their work ethics, suggestions, cleanup at the end of each day, attention to detail, information given at different stages, budget handling, etc was impeccable. They worked till late and with my tantrums. My project was only the backyard but half way through (after seeing their work), I ended up doing my Garage sidings- Stucco and my Front yard with them as well. One thing I liked about the dad; I discussed another in-house project with them and he recommended me NOT to do it because it would bring down the value of the house; greatly appreciated that. I would definitely recommend them for any construction projects."

"I highly recommend working with Pedro at KRK renovations. He was extremely helpful throughout the entire process -- design, excavation, installation -- and showed extraordinary patience as I went through my first renovations. He went out of his way to make sure I understood every choice I was making. He even took care of some minor things that were wrong with my apartment on his own (a door that didn't fit right, some exposed space in the bathroom) that weren't a part of the project. He also helped build things in a way that they can grow, leaving room for a bigger stove, a bigger fridge, and so on. I never would have thought of that. He's a great guy. More importantly, I'm very satisfied with the work. I've had the kitchen for a year now and I absolutely love it. The people he referred me to (notably Luis, the tile guy) were also great. Pedro and his assistant were professional, flexible, and all-around terrific to work with. I could keep going -- some unexpected things came up during the project (100-year-old building!), and Pedro always checked with me, laid out exactly what was needed, and offered a fair price. Great guy, would hire again in a second."

"I am very lucky to have found Mettle Contracting; their attention to detail, and their desire to get everything right was a pleasure. Installing the original pocket doors in my prewar apartment was a challenge which they easily met. Mettle also installed a hinged metal lid to my roof that I am also extremely happy with. Their work ethic is excellent, and I would not hesitate to recommend them for any kind of project!"

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
