"We had MIK Homes come out and remodel our guest bathroom. We were absolutely blown away by all aspects of the MIK service. Vadim was very knowledgeable and communicative from the very beginning. We stayed in touch throughout the whole project. They did fantastic work. And it was literally both cheaper AND faster than the original estimate they gave. The workers who came in were courteous and diligent. And most importantly, the final product was excellent. We will use MIK Homes for all future needs, and cannot recommend them enough."

"Lutton Construction did a wonderful job with my basement remodel, transforming it from the 80s to modern times. Kyle (the owner) listened carefully to my vision for the space and was very responsive throughout the duration. The project included building new framed interior walls, insulating, new electric, fixing a section of sill plate, replacing a damaged gas line, drywall, new LTV flooring, refinishing the ceiling, new wood trim and finishing work and fresh painting. His crew was polite, professional and very detail oriented. Absolutely thrilled with the finished result and my family is looking forward to enjoying for many years!"

"I'm not joshing you, but Josh Powers was great. We had a ton of questions and he answered them in a fast manner. Great work, high-quality and no complaints. He was patient when I drove back to get him assistance on his end on a Friday afternoon. I'd recommend him to anyone in Central Ohio for handyman duties, electrical, carpenter work, and, especially painting. He did a great job with painting three rooms and a kitchen--everything is top-notch!"

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
