"I am in Temple Tx. These people were amazing! I have a 60 year old home and my slider stopped sliding. I ordered a custom size sliding patio door from a well known supply store with orange logo. (yes, you know who) only to find they ordered the wrong size(they measured) after waiting a moth for the door. They also wanted me to wait another 3 weeks for installation. I was beside myself thinking I was going to have to wait another month for a replacement to be ordered and 3 more weeks for installation. I could cancel the order altogether and that's when I googled "patio doors" and spoke to Loretta at Eco View. I explained my situation and exasperation. I have German Shepherds who need to be let out regular. Living without a working door is stressful. She was so caring and helpful. She sent Tim McClintock right over for a measure. Even though I could get a refund for my wrong door and order a new door from Eco view and It would only take 2 weeks to get it in, I was willing to do this. The Eco View Team went out of their way to install a door that was not exactly the correct size, from another company, so that I would not have to wait any longer. AND they picked it up and installed it the Following work day! ( for less than the big orange was charging me!) How many companies will go out of their way to install a competitors product in order to make a customers life easier? Not many in my 56 years of experience but Eco View Did! Not only that but the installers were very considerate, conscientious, respectful and polite! Taking care to be neat and clean. They were quiet and efficient! I can't say enough about how impressed I was by these gentlemen! Skip the big box suppliers and use Eco View. Their prices are better on both product and installation. They are more professional and available. They really care about you as a person and a customer going out of their way to make your experience with them positive and stress free!"

Austin Window Replacement

With Austinites continually endeavoring to keep our city weird, there's usually something to look at through your front window, but windows need to do more than just provide a line-of-sight to the outside world. They need to hold their own to protect your home from inclement weather to would-be intruders. Older, single-glazed windows probably don't make the grade anymore. Stronger, thicker, more efficient windows are a great choice for your next home improvement project.

Window Replacement
Replacement windows in Austin may not sound crucial with our warm climate, but there are several reasons specific to Austin to have your windows replaced. Frequently, homes in Austin don't have the same high-capacity, energy-efficient furnaces and heating systems that most homes have in the north. Plus, while much of the hoopla surrounding replacement windows is about reducing heat loss, energy efficient windows also the rate of heat gain during the summer months. In fact, a measurement called the solar heat gain coefficient will allow you to compare the performance of different windows during the summer.

Other Factors
Replacement windows can be about more than just energy-efficiency. Averaging 300 days of sunlight a year, it's not unusual for at least one room in your home to have a problem with glare and excessive sunlight. A window with a low visible transmittance rating will keep this glare at a minimum. Modern energy-efficiency standards and technology can save you a bunch of money, but it can also create a seal in your home that locks in moisture. This moisture tends to gather around windows and form condensation. To combat this problem, condensation resistant glass was created.

Cost of Replacement Windows
Each and every day HomeAdvisor is collecting information on every single project we process, including replacement windows in Austin. The numbers are helpful, but far from conclusive in determining the actual cost of your project. To replace every window in your home, your average cost is $6,000-$7,000. Of course, this largely depends on how many windows you have. More accurately, you're looking at about $500-$600 per window. This probably sounds like a lot of money, and while you stand to save a great deal of money in your utilities, we can't tell you that you're going to save $6,000 in just a year or two, especially for replacement windows in Austin.

On the other hand, you might think about borrowing the money to pay for your windows. You can use the money you save on your utility bills toward the payments and the interest on the payments is tax deductible. Plus, more than just energy-efficiency, replacement windows can make your home more comfortable by eliminating drafts that no amount of energy will heat or cool.

Project Length
It's not uncommon for an Austin window replacement project to take as much as two or three weeks. This may sound like a long time, but once you look into it you'll realize just how many options you have. If you're on a truly tight budget but still want to do something to improve your window installations, for example, you can install new window glass without the tight seal of a new window casement. In any case, once you've hired a window contractor to help you pick the right windows for your home and decided on what you want to do, the work itself shouldn't last more than a day or two.
