Angie's List keeps bugging me to write a review and I keep declining. So here you are Angie. BTW, this vendor no longer exists.
The discount was great. The unreported additional costs ran high. He did a great job as far as painting.. He used 2 coats because the house hadn’t been painted. They were all very professional and friendly. They showed up when they said they would and worked the whole day. They were done in 2 ½ days.
They did a good job. That's why I let them pain my house as well. The quality of the work was nice. The owner was very dedicated to his job.
The service turned out terrible. We had them come back 3 times because they kept missing spots. They were irresponsible and unreliable. They had one guy that was actually on some kind of substance and we had him leave. It was not a good experience. It was not good. Even after they left, my husband was the one that did the touch-up. We had them come, paint and when they were cleaning up, it was a mess. It was a big deal purchase. It took about 4 to 5 days and then we had them return 3 times. My husband took care of the cost. I believe we paid them in full.
They were prompt, efficient, and very knowledgable about paint and equipment. I chose the colors, bud Tod had very good sense about how to use the colors. They were pleasant to work with. They cleaned up after themselves, and I would definitely hire them again.
It went pretty good except that they got paint on our curtains. They were going to clean them up but they never did. They were pretty sloppy. The price was good.
I purchased a big deal from Angie's List and their services turned out overall good. My only complaint is that they got a lot of overspray on my hardwood floors. It is tiny, it is not super obvious, but they just did not cover the hard wood well enough, so that is my only complaint there. I would use them again, however I will be right on it for coverage of the floor and stuff. I did not inform them of the overspray. They charged me an additional amount to do some additional work and it was a very reasonable amount for some additional work. They did a good job.
I called him in September. He said he would call back. He did not. I called him in November and finally made an appointment which he cancelled and rescheduled for December. He was here about 3 hours. He charged me an extra $100.00 and had me buy all the material,,,,,,drywall and plaster. My house is run down but that does not mean you can just leave wet plaster on the carpet. I would not use Milne Painting again. I feel like I was duped.
They were responsive and prompt, overall they did a good job but they were a little messy and that I am taking paint splatter off my hardwood floors, probably for the next year I'll be doing that. They were pleasant, they did a little extra work and I paid for it and it was reasonable, it was something they had suggested. Over all it was a good experience except there was a lot of catch up I've been doing myself also, I pay quite of attention to detail and like I said I am really struggling with the lack of covering or attention to covering the floors. It's all dark hardwood and it's white splatter everywhere. Their only drawback was the floor covering issue.
