Short summary: Outstanding workmanship, communication, and integrity. Jackson at Berry Remodel finished our basement. It was a large, complex project that turned out better than we could imagine. I recommend Berry Remodel unconditionally. Long version: We used Berry Remodel to finish our basement. It was a complex project that included: -Asbestos Remediation -Major demolition -All new framing -Extensive plumbing changes -Extensive electrical changes, including upgrading to 200A service and relocation of the main panel -Cutting a new basement window -Masonry work -Adding a Radon Mitigation system -Woodwork -Wallpaper -Installation of a tin ceiling Jackson did an outstanding job of coordinating and managing the project. There were delays, scheduling conflicts, etc. as there are with anything this large, but he "rolled with the punches" and kept things moving. I've spent most of my career in manufacturing, and he did a better job than many "Project Managers" I've known. Jackson was thorough and did not take shortcuts. -He tested our concrete pad to make sure our flooring choices would work and remain under warranty. -The concrete floor was very wavy. He levelled out the most important areas while maintaining a slight slope inwards towards the floor drains. -Every inspection passed with flying colors. The HVAC inspector was surprised: many contractors miss things like access to dampers. Not only had Jackson made sure to do that, he'd camouflaged the access points well enough that the inspector missed them! I was impressed with his craftsmanship. He takes obvious (and deserved!) pride in his work. The joinery is excellent and the stain work is uniform. Jackson made several custom items for our basement. -Built-in bookshelves -A triangle door (for under the stairs) -A cove for LED light strips to throw light onto the tin ceiling -Baseboards, door and window framing. He communicated with us regularly on both progress and cost. He also kept scrupulous track of expenses, receipts, etc. Last but far from least, he showed a level of integrity that's sometimes missing in the trades. I've dealt with contractors who do their best to pad out the bill, fudge hours worked, etc. Jackson didn't do any of that; if anything, he went out of his way to do the opposite. The best example that comes to mind is when he was levelling out our concrete floor. He found a few extreme high spots that would be expensive and time-consuming to grind down. He checked with us before proceeding. I've known more than one contractor who would've had no problem plowing ahead to pad out the bill. I recommend Jackson and Berry Remodel unconditionally.

Berry constructed a pergola. We are so pleased with the overall project from start to finish. He made certain it was constructed in accordance with building codes. This is the second project he has done for us. When I obtain a picture I will add it.

Jackson did a terrific job regrouting my bathroom as well as installing bifold closet doors, making a new threshold for my back door, and replacing a countertop. Great communication from start to finish, very professional, reliable, does good work. I'd absolutely hire him again.

Excellent service and workmanship

Jackson replaced trim work in two of my rooms and hallway. He paid attention to the details and style leaving me with a refreshed and professional look.
