Jake called ahead of his arrival time and showed up when expected. He took the time to explain the purpose of his visit, installed a sediment filter, and did a thorough analysis of my water system. Repair or Service a Well Pump

I called with a point well/pump problem and they professionally fixed the problem the same day. Originally they said it would take a couple days based on their scheduling (which was more than fair), but they were able to send someone very fast. They used sound diagnostic methods that identified the problem and didn't replace parts which were working to specification. The fee charged was fair as well.

I had John and his crew put a point well in this past spring. At first there were a few hiccups, but John and his guys were there for me anytime I called. They came out that same day and fixed the issue.John was very personable and always there to answer any questions or concerns I had. I would highly recommend Well Water Connection to anyone looking to install a Well.

I had contacted several other companies to asses a water issue occurring in my house. Well water connection was able to assess the issue quickly, provide an estimate and schedule a visit very quickly. The arrived on time and were very professional. They explained the issue and was able to fix the issue in a timely manner. Excellent service

Very happy with our point well. John was easy to work with and I would definitely recommend him and Well Water Connection to friends & family. Grass looks much better than last year because of convenience to water anytime we want and without having to pay for the huge water bill otherwise. Thank you!!

What is the screening process that Service Professionals go through in order to become members of the HomeAdvisor network?

Verify Trade License HomeAdvisor checks to see if the business carries the appropriate state-level license. Verify Insurance As a part of our screening process, we encourage professionals to carry general liability insurance. We require coverage for hundreds of services. Verification of State Business Filings For business types that require a Secretary of State filing, we confirm that the business is in good standing in the state in which it is located. Criminal Records Search HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.

HomeAdvisor's Screening Process

HomeAdvisor uses an extensive screening process to screen businesses and business owners/principals. We perform this screening when a business applies to join our network and, if the business is accepted, whenever concerns are brought to our attention. If you have concerns that a pro in our network doesn't meet these standards, please contact us to investigate. We're committed to maintaining a network of trusted home service businesses, and those who don't meet our criteria will be rejected or promptly removed from our network.

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Licensing

We require all pros to attest that they carry the appropriate local and state licensing to practice their trade. Please note that HomeAdvisor does not confirm licensing. Do your own research using online ratings, reviews and through phone interviews before hiring a company.

State Business Filings

If a business states that it's registered as a corporation or limited liability company, we confirm that the company is in good standing in the state in which they operate.

Ratings

Businesses receive ratings from homeowners through HomeAdvisor. Once a business is rated, we require it to maintain an overall average of three stars or greater.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.
