I hired Darren to do a house inspection on my first and second accepted offer and he was very through and honest about the condition of the houses. I countered with owners and they wouldnâ t cover repairs so I backed out of sales . Darren saved me thousands of dollars in repairs and I will definitely use Darrenâ s services again . You definitely get your moneyâ s worth when you choose Darren to do your house inspection!

Make sure the inspector tests above all basement ground levels when they set up the sensors. Ours only tested in one area and missed the crawl space.

Wish you would have contacted me before leaving review. The radon system was placed in the basement in the room a child was going to inhabit. The radon test showed higher than acceptable levels of radon gas where your child will be sleeping and breathing through the night. The recommendation was to have a mitigation system installed. I do not understand what your comment means and is my first non 5-star quality comment. Did you want more than one test done? Would it have mattered if one part of the basement tested slightly better? You asked me to test the area that your child would be sleeping in which made sense. There was only one test system paid for and set up. It was placed where you advised to place it. In the bedroom area in the basement. All protocols for a radon test were followed and a documented report was sent same day.

Excellent experience! Darren was very knowledgeable and professional. Darren contacted me within a few minutes of me checking online for an inspector, and I could tell just by our phone conversation that he was experienced, serious, and open. We agreed on a date/time, but my wife and I arrived late. He had already started the inspection, but he took his time to start over and walk us through everything he just did outside, then walked us through the entire rest of the inspection. We asked a lot of questions and he was able to stop and explain things in detail. He listened to what we were were looking for in a home and what we planned on doing with it, offering advice for future improvements, sharing his experience and knowledge on all kinds of house improvement subjects. I think we bombarded him with all kinds of home repair related questions that may not even had anything to do with the inspection, but he answered them all and offered advice! When just before the inspection, there was a major storm in the area, and the city lost power, I asked him what we would do, and his answer was "I can still inspect most of the house without power, so I plan on being there!". He was ready to go at the agreed upon time! Fortunately the house had power and the inspection went off without a hitch. I highly recommend Darren for your house inspection!
