Write a ReviewThey didnt do what was asked, the tech never called me to go over the report despite me calling the office 5 times. Now I am fighting to get a refund. DO NOT USE.
Not really, I was quoted a price of $228 to clean our air ducts and dryer vent, the tech went up in the attic in the garage, and said one of the ducts to the air handler was loose and I had mold, and it would cost $700 to remove the mold, he also said the dryer vent was blocked and it would cost extra money the clear the blockage, he never gave n=me a price for that. I thought he would also clean the vents in each room, but that never happened nor did he clean the filter in the cold air return.I contracted with United Home Services to do the work, And I made out a ck=heck to United Home services for the $228.00 and gave it to the tech when he was ready to leave, he said the the check should be made out to Arizona Right Choice. which we did but I got a receipt from Pure Flow Home Services
They did not clean up after themselves.
guy that came was wonderful, easy to talk to. The price that I was quoted only cover basic level, it would cost hundreds more to get what I really wanted done. He did negotiate price and brought it done some. While they did a really good job for what they did do. If I could I would give them 2 stars for the cost and the way the cost came across.
Terrible experience. Told it was $150, with no other information other than they will be there between 2 & 5pm. We thought we were getting our whole chimney cleaned, turned out to only be the most basic of cleanings with just a shop vac. I could have done that for free myself. The guy was so extremely pushy and asked us 8 or 9 times if we were sure we didn?t want the $450 service. Terrible experience. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
went to the website for Angie and stated that I needed to have my chimney cleaned and possibly repaired. I got an email back listing three different companies that I could call and do business with. I selected one company called United Home Services. I made an appointment to have my chimney cleaned on Thursday between one and 4 o clock. I was quoted a price of $125 for the fireplace cleaning. The man who was going to do the cleaning and fixing the chimney arrived. I asked him to go outside so I could show him the cap. I have on the chimney and to let him know I want a different cap like my neighbor has. My cap is very open and let birds and other animals in. My neighbor s cap is screened so nothing can get in . We went back into the house and he used the flashlight on his phone to look around the fireplace and the chimney inside. He said oh this is much dirtier than I thought and so it will be $450 to clean it. I told him I had received a quote of $125. He got on the phone with his office and then he said well since you have the quote of $125. We will only charge you $250. I was not happy about this, but I was assuming that he came from a honest reputable company. After he cleaned the fireplace, he went onto the roof and he said that the flashing was in bad shape and needed to be repaired. He showed me a photo that look like there was a repair needed. He then told me that the cap on my chimney was not installed properly and it could not be removed in order to have a new one placed there. He said he would have to remodel my cap so that no birds or animals could get into my chimney. He said the remodeling would be $1100 and repairing the flashing would be $650. He said he would fix the flashing and then he would have to come back the next week to remodel the cap. My total was now $2000. He got on the phone with his office and they told him to have me sign up for a finance company named Sunbit and I could finance the whole thing with them. I m still thinking I m dealing with honest people and that I was in a financial bind so I signed up for financing for 18 months. He came back the following week to remodel my cap. He went up on the roof and came back later to tell me he was finished. I went outside to look and all that he had done was to spray paint my original cap with a spray paint that said high heat. He told me that this would keep birds and animals out . I said you have not done anything to keep animals out, except to spray paint the cap. That is certainly not worth $1100. His answer was well there is a full guarantee that if animals get in there we will come and take them out. Obviously this was a total rip off and I don t know if the flashing really needed to be repaired or not, and if he really did repair it I have no way of going up to the roof myself. Now I am in debt for $2000 and I have no idea what shape my chimney is really in. I showed him my neighbor s cap on his chimney, which had wire around it to protect it from getting animals in. I will try to send you a picture of my Neighbor s chimney and also my chimney. After I saw that he had done nothing except paint my cap, I showed him the top of my fire pit and said I need something on my cap that has a screen like this. He took the top of my fire pit and got a paint can from his truck and took them to the roof saw that he had somehow put the cap of my fire pit on top of the chimney cap And some manner. He did tell me it would probably blow off . I kept telling him this was not what I paid for for $1100 and he said but you will have a guarantee that if you get a bird in there, we will come take it out right away. That was the only response I could get from him.
The workers changed the price from the quoted 450 to 750 in the middle of the job. I was not provided a receipt and I also followed up and still no receipt.
Eli was our tech and he was wonderful! He took pictures of the ducts then showed me pictures of other vents he had cleaned and oh what a difference! He explained all that he would do and how it was done. He presented his certification to work in Utah and liability insurance. I had no second thoughts and didn't look into any more companies and hired United Home Services. Eli was very thorough and efficient He recommended a maintenance cleaning every 2-3- years. I have this date marked in my calendar for 2027. Here's hoping Eli is my Tech!
Hired United home services to do their introductory clean vent package which included unlimited vents inspection of air ducts, and use of their vacuum. Immediately the technician wanted to upsell a package going from $100-$1300. When we refused and just wanted the starter package, he got physically upset. He tried two more times to lower the price going down to 900 and then down to $650. He said he could even have his own company on the side, do it if you wanted a cheaper option. After politely refusing again, he ended his work refused to do the rest of the vents and then sat in a chair demanding to be paid before you left. The payment option was weird asking for cash or to be Venmo. We had previously asked if we could pay online once the service was completed and the receptionist said that was fine. We ended up just paying him so that he would leave. The whole situation was awkward and confrontational. I wouldn?t recommend this company.
I had a bad experience with this company, would not recommend them for other jobs.
