Based on Home Advisor’s recommendation, I called Turn Two Electric on January 20, 2018 and spoke with someone there named Sean. I told Sean that I had a circuit breaker in my circuit breaker box that looked like it needed to be replaced. I gave him the brand name and the amperage and asked him how much it would cost to replace. He said $100; and he said that he’d send someone to my house on January 22nd at 8 AM. Monday 8 AM -- no one showed up. I called Sean. He told me not to worry that I was first on the list of customers to see. 10 AM – still no one showed up. Finally, two workmen came by at 11 AM -- three hours late. The workmen looked at the circuit breaker that I thought was broken and said that all that needed to be done was for a switch on the breaker to be pushed firmly to the right. That’s all. Nothing was broken. Once the switch was flipped the breaker worked fine, the power in the house that was out was instantly restored. At that point it seemed as though the workman in charge didn’t know what, if anything, to charge me. He went to his truck, called Sean, came back inside the house and said that Sean said to replace the circuit breaker and that the job would cost $150. … I said: but it’s not broken. … I also said that when I called Sean on the 20th, thinking the breaker was broken, he said the charge would be $100. The workman called Sean back and then told me that the charge was now $130. I paid the $130 but I am not at all satisfied. I called Sean the next day and told him that I was charged for a part that was not broken. And that, moreover, the part & labor for the job which didnt need to be done in the first place! – went from $100 to $150 to $130. Sean asked me what I wanted. I said, I want a fair price for what was done. He said, “Do you want all of your money back?” PLEASE NOTE WELL: At that point, I should have said, Yes, I do want all my money back. But wanting to be fair and reasonable, I said, “I want you to charge me what you think is fair and mail me back the difference.” I never heard back from Sean; nor have I received all or part of the $130 I paid. At this point, to answer Sean’s question: “Do you want all your money back?’ Yes, I do. A.) The workers were three hours late. B.) The price -- for a part wasn’t needed -- kept changing: from $100 to $150 to $130. C.) The problem was solved in, literally, less than 10 seconds -- a simple flip of a switch. D.) Sean never got back to me. All that does not add up to a satisfied customer. Unless I am satisfactorily compensated, I will follow up this review by reporting my experience with Turn Two Electric to various state and local consumer protection agencies.
