Bill showed up on time. At the conclusion of the inspection, he walked us through everything. He was good at explaining reasons that things were the way they were and what can and should be done to correct it. We received a full written summary the next morning. Bill did the job well and I would not hesitate to hire him again.

The Good- Bill completed the inspection on a Sunday at my request. He was friendly as well. The Bad- Bill did NOT have any of the tool of the trade such as Voltage Tester,Amp Gauge, CO2 or Gas Detector to name a few. Also he did not have a radon tester. (he used the charcoal that gets sent to a lab and took a week to get back). He seemed to just "eye ball" most of the things in the house. I was expecting someone to show up with tools and meters to check circuits for $400. I went and rechecked the foundation for bowing bc he did put a level to it, just eye balled. I could have done this inspection. Pics were sent in email with no description.

I have done over 6000 home inspections. Can not make everyone happy all the time. For the record, a home inspectors job is a visual inspection only. We should make everyone aware of everything but its not up to the home inspector to tell anyone what to do. I do carry with me all the time A CO2 and Gas Detector. Plugs testers and power gauge, Moisture detectors, Infa-red thermo and normal everyday tools. In the ten years I have never been ask to check Voltage out. If I would of seen a problem. Its up to the home inspector to recommend an certified electrician to check it out and make all repairs. any questions, I welcome your call... Smile

While working with Bill he made the whole process very smooth. He was very willing to work with me on the schedule based on what was the best time for ME. His communication was excellent via phone calls and e-mail. I've had experience with other home inspectors and this was the best experience I've had. He was extremely thorough with his inspection, with pictures, notes, and also giving me a binder to begin with so I could take additional notes along with the walk through. He was on time and the process took no longer than necessary. I highly recommend Turn Key Home Inspections to anyone needing a home inspection.
